By far the best doctor for orthotics!
Dr. Rather is great. She made me feel comfortable and she listens. She made orthotics for my mother more than 10 years ago and the orthotics definitely helped with her bone spur and prevented surgery.

I have read through the other reviews and I completely disagree! Dr Ratner takes the time to listen and makes you feel very comfortable. She is very patient. Sometimes I have to wait a little past my appointment time because she gives so much time and attention to each individual patient. I went to her for heel pain and she made me orthotics. They fit perfectly in my shoes and I no longer have heel pain. She took the time to recommend certain types of shoes that would be best for me. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

My dad had seen her three times before by himself but the fourth time I went with him. He is diabetic and has thick toe nails. She cut his toe while trimming his toe nails (red flag) and my dad said to her the last time he came, she cut his toe and it healed nicely. He meant it as a compliment. That was my second red flag. When we got home I asked him about it and found out his toe was cut each time he went in. A friend of mine who is a nurse said usually you take diabetics to a podiatrist because they are more careful. I will no longer take him to Dr. Ratner.

Paid $500 out of pocket for shoe inserts. They did not fit. Ratner told me my wingtip shoes were my fathers, "buy something new". Purchased Redwings. The inserts have never fit and she stated after using lipstick as a marker that they where not positioned correctly. She ground groves into the bottom side and said, "Try that". I want my inserts repaired properly but I will not make another appointment with this person. She is rude, has a narrow window of patience, limited attention with little to no respect for the patient. Find some one else, there are great doctors out there. This one falls short.

Terrific and extremely experienced individual who is concerned with the results of her practice in podiatry not the financial woes often associated with running a practice.

I can't believe we are talking about the same Dr! My experience was the best. First of all she is very knowledgeable. Diagnoised me at my first appointment, and told me what I needed to do. She took a lot of time explaining everything to me. Very kind and personable. In fact, after getting my orthotics, she took extra time making sure they fit all of the shoes I had. I have never had a foot Dr. go above and beyond like she did for me. I got the best service ever and would highly recommend her. By the way, its not a bad thing to start your day with a smile for the first person you see. Its contagious!!!!!

Very pleasant experience with Dr. Ratner. Others have complained of rudeness which was never seen by me. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I am sure others who thought she was rude probably deserved it if she was. She was recommended by a friend who has severe diabetes which causes him severe foot problems. He has tried others and finally found Dr. Ratner and he also highly recommends her. My opinion is that the others are simply cry babies. She is my choice for future treatment.

I agree with all of the posted about Dr. Ratner. She is a very rude and uncaring person to her patients. She cannot make a decision on her own and when she does a minute later she will change her mind. She's not a very secure person at all. I will not go back to her again!!
