Ablation performed before addressing sleep apnea. Anesthesiologist damaged my trachea & scratched my eye. Woke up with horrible pain. Mix up in prescriptions caused me to pass out a day later. Very dangerous! Coughed up blood later that week on 6/16. But Dr. Su went on vacation the day after the ablation & his office refused to refer me to another Dr. No one to review medications - no one to follow up. Two months go by, two cardioversions, one bungled. They, of course, did not work because the sleep apnea was still not addressed. Dr. Su finally gets back but he did not keep the appointment so I never did get to see him. All this on top of the numerous lies from his office and others. Dr. Su is an arrogant, uncaring doctor whose purpose is to generate a ton of $ for Banner (a disfunctional, broken company). He allows incompetence in the people around him resulting in poor outcomes - at least for me. My health is now and I my symptoms are worse because of all this.

I went to Dr. Su when I had an undiagnosed A-fib. Dr. Su did try 5 cardioversions that did not work and have since had multiple ablations but for the last year I have been in sinus with no further issues with A-fib. I found Dr. Su to be very kind and gentle and makes you feel like you are speaking to the best Dr. in the world and he is in this speciality. Patricia Lathe

Went in for surgery on july5th , 2012 for afib ablation.
First problem: was that the Dr office said I could drive home after (simple 1.5hr!) operation. I even phoned Dr office to confirm this and had the conversation on tape to show hospital. They neither would listen to the recording nor accept anything but having a relative drive me home. I was already very nervous about the operation. They gave me no alternatives(calling a cab, etc...). A lot of arguing with a lot of people and a big inconvenience for my relative at the last minute.
Second problem: was that after the operation they gave me anti blood clotting pill prescription for too large of mg pills so Walgreens told me to come back the next day to get them.....the Dr did not elude to the fact that I needed to start taking them that day......and I formed a blood clot the next day.....I had to go back to an emergency room because the clot had gone to my right kidney and destroyed it. I am lucky I did not die..... because usually the clot goes to either the heart, lungs or brain before it stops and destroys them and kills me or leaves me in a wheelchair drooling out of the right side of my mouth.
Third problem: After getting out of the hospital(3 days), i went back to Dr Su to tell him what had happened, and he would not see me(not only once but on the next two appointments) but instead had me see his assistant. He obviously was too afraid to see me personally and my hostility for me to explain that his office incorrectly told me about driving myself back home and that I HAD to start taking the pills immediately.
Fourth problem: I went back to his office 3 years later to get a copy of my medical records for future cardiologist reference, and his office had moved. I found his new office and went to it to request the records. They told me that those old records were at the old office that they didn't keep any records that went that far back. I went back to the old office and it had closed with no forwarding address or location. I had not way of getting my medical records because of his ridiculous record system.

Dr. Su is the most impressive doctor I have ever met. He spent time explaining the procedure. He was also the first doc who accurately assessed what my holter monitor was showing. I had cryo in 2013 and am still good and in normal sinus. As to the anesthesiologist's bill, my insurance only paid partially because he was our of network, but he accepted assignment. Always ask if everyone is in network!

Great experience as I had been in constant A-fib/A-flutter for 4 month's Dr Su and his staff spent 3 1/2 hrs on me, and did 4 procedures during that time in which he videoed the surgery. I had previously had 3 RF Ablations at another hospital with no positive outcomes at all. Dr Su was the most personable Doctor I've ever met and I am so happy that I was able to meet him and have him do my procedures as the outcome of my Cryoballoon ablation was successful and I was on a plane the following day headed back home in sinus rhythm, I'm looking forward to watching the video once he puts it on the Web site. Thank you Dr Su.

My wife had a procedure with Dr. Su in 2012. Su's office assured us repeatedly that the procedure was covered by our insurance. Dr. Green was selected as the anesthesiologist. Shortly after the procedure we got a bill from Green for $2,750 (which is three times the going rate)! Turns out Green did not accept BCBS because they 'don't pay enough'. Instead of telling us this in the month leading up to the surgery Green had my wife sign a bunch of forms minutes before her surgery. Having been told the entire surgery was covered by BCBS, my wife signed all the hospital forms without a thought. Green took us to court. Because of these deceptively signed forms, he won a partial judgment. His threatening letters continued. We filed a complaint against both with the AZ Medical Board. And thanks to the internet I am going to do my best to spread the word about these two so they do not continue to victimize people. Both had months to do the right thing, admit/correct their mistake. They didn't.

My previous cardiologist sent me over to another EP who did 2 ablations that didn't work, and unfortunately I had complication with 1 of the vein? that was narrowed. Talking to patients in his busy waiting room, I found out that Dr. Su is who doctors would go to if they had a problem (I met 2 doctors in his waiting room!).he came highly recommended by even his competitors. Wait was long to see him, but I didn't mind. I had read and learned about cryo ablation after my complications, because I don't want more vein narrowing with ablation. I called Medtronic about which doctor in U.S. has the most experience in treating AF with freezing, and they gave me his name. He spent so much time with me I couldn't believe it. He has a calm nature and is very friendly. I was ablated 2 month ago, and have been off of drugs since last month. I wish I had met Dr. Su first, and wish I knew what I know now. I highly recommend anyone who has heart problems to see him.
