Dr. Jeff Arrington performed my Endometriosis Excision and Hysterectomy in December 2020. I could not be happier with my surgical outcome and improved quality of life. After searching for a diagnosis for many years only to be told there was nothing wrong with me I was so happy to finally find Dr. Arrington. He listened to every symptom and concern I had as well as what my wishes were going forward. He is kind, caring, compassionate and listens with non-judgment. I never felt that my concerns were being dismissed or that I was just a number in the practice. Dr. Arrington is one of the few doctors I have seen that took my anxiety disorder seriously and understood how stressful surgery day would be for me. On the day of surgery Dr. Arrington came to see me in pre-op twice to make sure that I was doing okay and that I had everything I needed. He walked me through what was going to happen once we arrived in the operating room and kept reassuring me that everything would be okay. Once I was on the operating table Dr. Arrington held my hand the entire time until I went to sleep. My surgery was successful and my recovery was smooth without any complications. I am so happy that Dr. Arrington listened and believed me and now I can live free of Endometriosis symptoms and have a much improved quality of life. My surgery allowed me to continue to pursue my career dreams and goals which were not possible prior to surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Arrington to anyone who might be suffering with Endometriosis and having a difficult time receiving the proper diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Arrington did an excellent job of providing me with all the information I needed from my very first consultation to my last post operative appointment. Dr. Arrington is incredibly knowledgable about how to diagnose and effectively treat Endometriosis. He also does an excellent job of explaining all of the treatment options and the risks and benefits associated with each of them. There was never any pressure to make a decision that I was uncomfortable with. I am forever grateful to Dr. Arrington for giving me my life back.

Dr. Arrington is amazing! I am 21 years old and after being diagnosed with endometriosis it was really hard for me to find a doctor who cared enough to listen to me. He talked to both me and my mom explaining everything he would be doing in a way that I would understand (answering every question my mom had) . When it was surgery time he held my hand the whole time until I went down which made me feel safe and secure. I only live 15 minutes away from his office but if I lived across the country I would still come to him for my surgery. He is an amazing doctor and such a caring person and I can not recommend him enough. I am only 2 weeks post opp writing this but I am looking forward to be pain free.

Dr.Arrington is amazing. He is not only very skilled but he is extremely personable. He did surgery on my 21 year old daughter. She said that he held her hand as they put her to sleep. That just really touched my heart. He cares about the patient as a person and not just about what his area of specialty is. We drove over 4 hours and stayed a week for her to have this surgery done. I would drive 400 hours of it meant being able to see Dr.Arrington. He is a compassionate and kind person.

As I write this I am seven weeks post op from having surgery with Dr. Jeff Arrington at the Center for Endometriosis Care in Atlanta, Georgia and I could not be happier. He saved my life. I was in so much pain, scared, depressed and anxious about life no longer being full of possibilities. Traveled from Houston, largest medical center, for a second surgery with him for deep rectal endometriosis. I was immediately better and was back running and exercising about 6 weeks post op. It’s hard for me to even think back on how hard that was but when I do think back I also get a positive feeling about how someone truly helped make me myself again,

I have never in my life had a doctor this good! He is so unbelievably knowledgable. He was kind to me, listened to me, answered all my questions, and performed my surgery perfectly! I am a completely person after my surgery! I am so so thankful that I found Dr. Arrington!

Dr. Arrington is a literal LIFESAVER. He, and the multidisciplinary team he put together including Dr. Masik and Dr. Gouldman, who excised stage 4 extra pelvic endo from different places in my body including ab wall, bowel, diaphragm, uterus, bladder and more. I traveled from Nevada specifically to see Dr. Arrington as his passion and knowledge far exceed any other doctors I have researched and come across. He is the type of doctor who will call you when he is running to get this kids if there is a problem, or answer your emails at all hours of the night. This is not something you can say of every doctor and is very comforting as a patience who is going through uncharted territory. I hope others are able to see Dr. Arrington to help fix this extra pelvic endo that so many probably have but do not know what to do. A++++++++++++

My name is Jennifer, and it’s been 3 months since my excision surgery. I’d like to share my story. This self-directed learning library, Dr. Sinervo and Dr. Arrington at the Center for Endometriosis in Atlanta saved my life. I started my period when I was twelve years old. From age 12 to 36, every single period included nausea, vomiting, extreme fatigue, severe back pain, food sensitivities, bloating and painful bowel movements. For years, I was not taken seriously by medical professionals. Everyone here knows what it’s like to feel marginalized and misdiagnosed. In my case, I believe my legitimate medical concerns were dismissed both due to the lack of knowledge/skill of physicians but also due to the fact that I was in the foster care system. For these reasons, I was told that my pain was in my head. I was told that I needed therapy. I was told that if I was throwing up that much, I must have an eating disorder. (While I certainly understand that needing therapy or having an eating disorder are valid medical diagnoses that should always be addressed, those diagnoses were incorrect for me). I was told that I was just complaining for attention. I was told that periods are just painful. Once, I was told by a doctor that food sensitivities were a fad and that if I really wanted to gain weight, I should go home and eat a pizza. None of the boxes doctors put me in were valid. The truth is, all those years, I had deep and widespread endometriosis, and I needed proper care. After suffering all through undergrad and law school with undiagnosed endometriosis, I took a full-time job at a university and began dating my current partner, David. Unfortunately, in June of last year, after working for my employer for more than 5 years, my disease became so debilitating, and I was let go from my job. I decided to go to Emory, the same place I’d been going for 3 years for my women’s health needs, to get answers. Finally, Emory decided to operate to explore the possibility of endometriosis...a word I had never heard before. I had surgery at Emory in July of 2018. At my post op appointment, I asked my surgeon if I underwent excision or ablation surgery. She said they were the same thing. I told her that I still had pain, and she encouraged me to see my primary care physician about that. I do want to note that this OBGYN surgeon is very well respected in her field and did her best. Unfortunately, she is NOT an endometriosis expert qualified to properly treat my disease. Within 2 months of the surgery at Emory, all the pain and all the symptoms had returned. I was jobless, extremely sick, and I needed answers. I didn’t need a support group. I needed direct, life-saving answers. That’s when I found Nancy’s Nook. That’s when I found Dr. Sinervo, Dr. Arrington and the Center for Endometriosis in Atlanta. After reviewing my case, Dr. Sinervo agreed to take me on as a patient. During a time when some partners would have been running for the hills, David sat me down, told me that we’d get through this and proposed. I said yes. Then, I met with Dr. Sinervo regarding my surgery that would take place at Northside Hospital. When I spoke to him, he said, “I believe you.” He heard me. He had unmatched compassion. I had surgery on January 7, 2019. I feel better than I have EVER felt. I have an appetite, I’m gaining weight, my endometriosis pain is relieved and my energy level is improving. I am working through some back pain with physical therapy and light yoga. It’s working. Nancy understands that the self-directed library model is what people need to truly advocate for themselves. I’m grateful that Dr. Sinervo and Dr. Arrington have made it their life’s work to properly and compassionately treat endometriosis. Because of Nancy’s Nook and the Center for Endometriosis, I get to wake up without pain. I get to eat without worrying about whether I’ll get sick. I get to plan my wedding and walk down the aisle to officially get the family I’ve always wanted WITHOUT PAIN. I have my life back. I’m forever grateful.

I traveled across the country to be treated by Dr. Arrington after exhausting every specialist that was available to me in my own state. His bedside manner is above and beyond anyone that has ever cared for me. There are very few surgeons that specialize in what he can do, and he is absolutely meticulous in his surgical skills and put me at ease even when there were some unexpected complications. He even provided me with video of the surgery he performed, which was a very difficult surgery to say the least. I honestly wish I lived closer to him, but even though we are in completely different time-zones, he still keep tabs, and checks on me from time to time as I am still healing post-operatively. I would not hesitate to travel and see him again if i ever would need to for any reason. However, he did such a fine job excising the endometriosis that I had inside me, that I have complete faith in not needing another surgery anytime soon, if ever.

I want to get on here and share my story. In September of 2018 after years of complaining to doctors about my symptoms (horrific cramping before and during periods, missing school/work, etc.) I went to my OBGYN because I knew something was wrong. She did an ultrasound and found a 9.5 cm cyst inside my ovary, they assumed it was an endometrioma and with my symptoms assumed I had endometriosis. We heard from many that this doctor was not capable of performing this surgery correctly (saving the ovary, removing all endo, etc.), so we requested that this doctor provide us with a referral to Dr. Arrington so that my husband and I could start talking with our insurance, since we knew that in order to save my ovary and remove the endo correctly we needed to see Dr. Arrington. I live in Utah and Dr. Arrington’s practice is in Georgia at centerforendocare. We had heard nothing but amazing things from multiple people who had their endo excision performed by Dr. Arrington. After my doctor said she was completely capable and wrote our insurance that we did not need to see a specialist, we made the decision to make the trip to Georgia on our own dime, which was well worth every penny. Dr. Arrington made sure to explain every little thing in such detail, I felt like he cared for me as if I was his own daughter, that is how he and all of the staff at centerforendocare treats all of his patients. He has a true passion for what he does and that is why he is so amazing in his career. I am 22, young, and married. My husband and I knew that we needed to make this vital decision right now in our lives so we don’t have further complications in the future. Surgery went amazing, he was able to remove what ended up being two large cyst in my ovary while saving the ovary. He removed all the endometriosis successfully, including what was very deep in my ureter, rectal area, and also removing my appendix which was infected with endo. Jeff Arrington Cec is hands down the most educated specialist around. I have nothing but amazing things to say about him and what he did for me. Please do not make the same innocent mistake as many who do not see the right doctor the first time and end up having to go to Dr. Arrington to get things fixed. Do it right the first time, see Dr. Arrington.
