Very brusque, no-nonsense type of doctor but extremely skilled and knowledgeable. Our mother had 3 operations by him (for bowel cancer) and over the course of the 2.5 yrs he treated her, he became warmer, friendlier, and very caring towards her. He asked for meetings with we family members and explained in detail mother's condition and what he would be doing to treat her. He is not of Western descent so his abrupt manner is likely more due to cultural differences, not personality. Mother spent 3 months in hospital before passing away and Dr Hassan paid her regular visits there when he was on duty even though her case had been referred to another doctor by then. With his training and surgical skills, he is an excellent doctor; Bridgewater is lucky to have him. Highly recommended!

After reading the recent comments I was apprehensive about having my procedure. Instead, I found Dr. Hassan to be professional, competent, informative and considerate. Immediately after my procedure, he detailed what he had found and made a point of easing my mind. Also, he was concerned about putting me through additional travel, so contacted me by phone and made arrangements for local follow up. I must also comment on his office staff who were extremely helpful and kind. Not everyone has the same experience with any doctor, but I wouldn't hesitate to use Dr. Hassan's services again. I was more than pleased!

Uncaring, uncooperative. Patient ended up in semi coma for 2 months. Would under no circumstances trust this surgeon. Upon dismissing his services due to incompetence, he proceeded to call family at home and berate them. Very unprofessional.

I saw him as a patient. I am a family doctor as well and have 12 years of secondhand experience of his work. He is a highly skilled and a brilliant surgeon. If I need surgery I will ask him as his surgical skills are the best I have come across.

My experience was several years ago. This doctor explained what was happening, possible risks, etc. to me and my spouse thoroughly and in a friendly way. Surgery went well and I recommend him.
