I adore Dr Camiel. He thinks outside the box, is friendly and funny, and has vast knowledge. Be advised that his staff does not pass messages along nor return phone calls. Be persistent, call until you reach them personally.

He can be extremely late sometimes. There were a few times I had to wait over 2 hours to see him. He has TWO weight scales in his office which can be triggering to people with eating disorders. UGH! 50% of people that I have talk to don't mind seeing him but the other 50% literally hates almost everything about him.

Dr. Camiel is a lazy uninspired psychiatrist. Spent less than fifteen minutes with me during my first visit. Wouldn't listen to my answers, talked at me the whole time.

Dr. Camiel is extremely knowledgeable and kind. While he may not seem to be incredibly personable, he's good at what he does. He was the first psychiatrist in 10 years to sit down with me and proceed with a full intake of my psychiatric history. This took well over an hour! As a result of his personalized care, his appointments run extremely late. (At one point, I spent almost two hours past my appointment time waiting to see him.) He's a good doctor but if you like doctors who are within a half-hour of punctuality, perhaps he's not for you.
