I found Dr. Capoor to be most professional and cognizant of the patient's needs. While there was waiting time, I don't believe it was any more burdensome than in any medical or dental atmosphere. As for her technical skills, they were unmatched in my case and the solving of my problem was complete and without complication. If you expect doctors to be warm and cuddly in this type of medical setting, you need to walk more than a mile in their shoes. Nothing but the highest marks.

I have visited Dr. Capoor twice at the UK Richmond clinic; both times scheduling first-available 9 AM weekday morning appointments. At both visits she was in conversation with pharmaceutical sales reps for at least 45 minutes off and on while I waited for her attention. I believe her technical skills are good and I will maintain a yearly exam there because of the limited optical expertise in this area and the medical file I have established. However, I would recommend anyone seeking an opthalmologist in the Richmond to keep looking. I did detect an air of arrogance as noted in the first rating. I'm not sure whether (1.) she visits this clinic 2-3 days a week and is "on her own" in managing sales reps or (2)Has no respect for patients needs.

I visit this clinic frequently and believe her to be a supremely skilled corneal specialist. She is also the single most abrasive physician in her clinic. She has displayed extraordinary skill in being impolite and impatient to myself and to a pediatric special-needs relative that also sought care from her. for my specific condition, her competence is high, and I will continue to see her if problems continue. there are many patients both within and outside university system who need her competence to preserve their sight, but cannot afford to seek services elsewhere. the purpose of this document is to mentally prepare future patients for the experience so that they receive competent medical care while not allowing her inappropriate affect to cause them further distress.
