I have a chronic pain issue due to my service over seas and finally got an appointment with dr herndon. i brought all of my surgery reports/medical records and i am NOT a drug seeker at all.I got a perscription for medication but am very unsuccessful at getting this filled. I understand how pharmacies are concerned, but what about the people that are in real pain? If anyone who goes to Herndon can help me find a place that will fill my script PLEASE let me know. This pain is unbearable. Ask for my email address and i will give it to you so this wont be publicized. thank you!

Except for the 2 hour waiting room sitting, my first visit with Dr. Herndon was unbelievable. He listened to everything I said, was comforting and did not interrupt. I felt extremely comfortable with him. I will definitely be changing him to my PCP. He did not criticize me or make me feel uncomfortable in any way. If I didn't want him all to myself, I would be recommending him to everyone I know - but he is extremely busy as it is. I don't know what people are talking about not being able to fill his scripts...I took mine to Rite Aid - no questions asked- and had it filled within minutes and it was my first stop. Obviously, someone somewhere did not agree with his services - prob a junkie looking for pain pills and did not get them, so he blackballed him - Dr. Herndon obviously knows a user when he sees one! He has a degree from Stanford and knows if someone has a valid problem or not and prescribes only something absolutely necessary. THANK YOU DR.! YOU CHANGED MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER!

I love Dr. Herndon but I hate his staff! They are very rude! Dr. Herndon found out what some of my problems was when I had been to 3 different doctors who couldn't find anything wrong and accused me of being a drug addict! Dr. Herndon didn't act like that with me. He was very nice and helpful. It sucks I have to go to another Dr. and deal with this all over! I don't agree with him giving everyone pain meds but this ruins it for people like me who needs them!

Dr Herndon sees over 100 patients a day, all to whom he writes narcotics too. There are multiple criminal cases involving him that will come to light sooner than later. Just because you can pass a urine test, and say your in pain, shouldnt mean that any 20 year old kid should get large prescription for narcotics. Stay tuned, when the truth completely comes out, people will be appalled.

Dr.Herndon is the nicest Dr.that I have ever seen. He listens to your problems & genuinely cares about what is going on with you. There are a lot of rumors circulating around about him & none of them are true. The pharmacies are not filling his patients scripts & I can't wrap my head around it because who are they to decide who needs meds and who doesn't?& even if he is being investigated,he hasn’t been charged with any thing!Aren’t we supposed to be presumed innocent until found guilty? This is slander. It's sad that a few people started these rumors about him and now he's most likely loosing patients because they’re not able to get their monthly scripts. If anyone has bad comments to say about Dr. Herndon it's probably because they failed their mandatory monthly drug test the office gives or they were probably denied pain meds.Changing Dr.s crossed my mind but I've decided I'm going to ride this out & stay with him. I have faith that this will be resolved soon because he’s not a shady Dr.

Dr. Oliver Herndon is a Wonderful doctor! There is not 1 bad thing I could say about him personally or professionally. He has been my PCP now for a year & hopefully much longer!!! I even recommended my sister, mom & finance to him. I was in a accident in 2007 & had a hard time finding a doctor that understood my problems that I have had physically & mentally since. Dr. Herndon really has been so patient with me and has worked with me so much & has helped me tremendously! His secretary is a very nice lady, sometimes I can tell she may be stressed but over all his practice is very professional & organized. Herndon & his staff are all very caring & understanding & not just about collecting insurance money & patients cash like others have said on here. He listens to every problem you have & cares about all of his patients, works 6 days a week & with him being a husband & a father he has his hands full I'm sure but he's 100% nice & great bed side manners every appt I go to!!!

Dr.Herndon really took his time and listened to me and respected my beliefs and opions on my treatment. My husband has been his patient for 5 years and never has had a bad thing to say about him. I am a nurse and am very particular about doctors and I respect and think very highly of dr. Herndon.

My grandmother was his patient for a little over a month. She had a stage four bedsore, and was not recovering from surgery. She contracted MRSA in the nursing facility. She was medicated to deal with pain. Before emergency surgery, she was in possession of her faculties, and could take care of herself. She died due to the complications. Dr. Herdon never consulted with the member of our family who had a medical background despite repeated requests and assurances that he would do so. When Grandmother died, he listed the cause of her death as DEMENTIA. Not He listed the onset of dementia as three months prior. He lied. The Death Certificate did not mention that she died from an infection or multi-organ failure due to complications from surgery. When we called his office, he never ever got on the phone. His receptionist was beyond rude, and hung up on us repeatedly after yelling that "He isn't going to change the death certificate, deal with it." Not so terrific in our book.

Dr. Herndon was my life line and still is. When I was at the end of may rope and was told I had 3 - 5 years to live I changed Dr's and god sent him. It's been almost 8 years and I am fine. He is the BEST.
