Laura is amazing! Yes you will wait, but she worth every minute. She actually spends the time with you. She is always there when you need her. She is by far the best Doctor ever. Thank you Laura and Lois!

No one goes to Dr. Laura for her punctuality, billing practices, or office atmosphere. In fact, her current office doesn't even have a bathroom - you have to go down the hall for that. The office isn't pretty or clean. And she hasn't had a nurse in years. You also need to be careful about what's discussed during a visit, because you may get a surprise second copayment on top of the first after the topic expanded to something other than the original visit purpose. And the conversation goes on and on and on, which is why the wait time is outrageous - easily two hours, often more. So why bother? Because when the sht hits the fan and you want the best doctor on your side, LAURA STAFF IS THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN. She has no answering service; she answers the phone after hours. I envision her camping out in the hospital if we ever end up there. But I hope new patients don't choose her, because it'll only add to our misery in the waiting room. Stay away and let us keep Dr. Laura to ourselves.

Dr. Staff is totally awesome! Listen you got to understand that the office isn't pretty, shee is understaffed, but you soon learn that beauty is not the peripherals like other non-caring physicians in Albany but in the mind and heart of Dr. Staff. You will not be sorry and the wait is worth it!!IMHO probably the best Doctor you will ever have!! Sam Sonenberg

Lovely. That's how one describes Dr. Staff! She's beautiful inside and out. Dr. Staff has been my doctor for many years. I can call her day or night with a question or problem. She knows my entire health history. I have never met a dr. who cares more about her patients. Please...I understand how important time is, but quality health care - PRICELESS! I don't hesitate to call when my kids get hurt or sick. She knows them too! I can't tell you how much time I saved by not going to the ER when my son fell and hit his head and got a bump. I was frantic. I called Dr. Staff and she walked me through it. The bump went down and all was well. We could have wasted hours at the hospital. Oh, and you're wonderful too Lois!

Laura is great, she is very knowledgeable, and prompt with her care. She is very direct, but this is how she helps her patients to get what they need. Laura cares about her patients, not about how many she sees in a 8 hr day. She takes the time each patient needs, sometimes 20min, sometimes 2 hrs... other patients do need to wait if its 2 hrs, however she's so worth it, that the wait is not that bad. She is way more focused on good care than any type of payment, and if discussed with her, she will waive, and or help you to figure out a way to pay or to save money.

Dr. Staff clearly has a lot of knowledge and experience, but she's so unprofessional that it doesn't even matter. Halfway through my physical exam, she left to make a phone call for 45 minutes, then talked with a patient for another 10 about cat videos on Youtube. I read the other reviews and I'm now DREADING the bill for all this extra wasted time. She never gave me the prescription she said she'd write for me, but I don't have another 4-5 hours to spare just to go back and get it. She also insulted me multiple times about my childbirth choices. She talked with another patient on the phone about private medical matters while in the room with me. I'm now on the hunt for a new doctor.

She is knowledgable but very disorganized and unprofessional. She wants you to come in the office to discuss something that can easily be done over the phone (probably just so she can charge you for a visit). She is also very "in your face" about certain issues, and can come across as rude. Poor billing practices and EXTREMELY behind schedule. She will even have her kids playing and running around the waiting room while patients are waiting to be seen. Her kids have even been known to enter an exam room while she is in with a patient.

Dr Staff is the most knowledgeable doctor I have ever known. If you have an emergency you can always call her and receive an immediate appointment. If you have any problems that do not require a visit, you can call her and receive a detailed consultation. Her bedside manners are outstanding. During the visit she would spend a lot of time discussing options and answering questions.Unfortunately, all these good things are offset by long waiting times, usually 2-4 hours

I secoond the comments of the previous rater. Dr. Staff will spend a lot of time with you, much of which she chats about herself. She will then bill you/your insurance for this extra time. She is also ALWAYS running SIGNIFICANTLY behind. A two hour wait is the norm, but once I waited 4.5 hours. She gets testy if you question her time and billing practices. I have also been billed THREE times for a bill I paid. Each time I have sent the office the canceled check and been told it was taken care of. She is compassionate and will always squeeze you in but after I few years I decided to go elsewhere.

Dr. Staff is nice, will spend a lot of time with you and answer all your questions (while also chatting a lot about herself). However, she does charge for the extended time and is very disorganized with her billing practices. Also, it is not at all uncommon for her to run 2 or 3 hours behind.
