If you value your health do not use Dr. Berkowitz! His skill are mediocre at best, and I'm not sure that he didn't skip med school and paid someone for his license. You've been warned.

Whom ever made this comment below must be a real nasty and difficult person. YOU were probably the A hole and hard to please. Some patients feel like a red carpet needs to be laid out in front of them in order for them to be happy. All i know is that i have seen Dr. Berkowitz many times and he is none of what this person below me claims. He has moved into a very nice office. Its very clean and modern, and his assistant is absolutely wonderful. Dr. Berkowitz is easy to speak with and he listens. Dr. Berkowitz is the doctor you can build a relationship with instead of being looked at as a number. I see that someone also claims that they waited for 45 mins. In all of the visits I've had with him, i have never waited more than 10 mins. To be honest his office is the only office i know in Rockland County that doesn't have you waiting 2 hours to see the doctor and his availability is great. People are so quick to say something negative but will struggle to say something nice about someone. That's whats wrong with this country now.

I do not recommend Dr. Bennet Berkowitz at all. I waited over 45min for my appt with no acknowledgement from the very rude receptionist after initial check in. The Dr &receptionist got into an argument in the hallway right before my appt because she told his nurse she could go home early. I was a new patient and he was rude and uncaring about my medical history, basically disagreeing with everything the specialist I had worked with in another state had recommended. When I went into the exam room it was dirty and they had an open 5 gallon bucket on the floor full of dirty/used exam gloves. (I should have followed my instints and left at that point)He had a smirk on his face during the exam and because the nurse had left, the receptionist was the female in the room with me! They both started to laugh as soon as they left the room which was extremely unprofessional. I never received my test results and every time I call the office during work hrs, they have their closed message on.

My only real complaint is that I went to this doctor in '09 and 2 years later got billed for what my insurance didn't cover. For 2 years I heard nothing, then out of nowhere a bill. When I called, the woman on the phone explained that they were now doing their own billing and had caught something previously missed. While I understand that, I don't feel it's my fault their old accountants missed something for 2 years. I'm going to pay the bill becasue I don't want to end up in collections, but I was disappointed with this office

Dr. Berkowitz is very kind and professional. Makes you very comfortable and explains things to you very well. His knowledge is exceptional and he answers questions very well, so you understand.I highly recommend him.

Did not take the time to expalin things thoroughly, and showed little interest in patient's concerns. Dismissed the patient's complaints, and kept saying everything was normal. Do not waste your time with this doctor.
