Dr Vilims is not only an incredible doctor, but has a personality and character I doubt you will ever find anywhere else. He is incredibly intelligent and personable. He doesn't just do the "get by" like I've run into countless times in the medical field. He consistently restores my faith in doctors. As an excellent example, I awoke one day to tremendous pain in my lower back radiating down my leg and eventually numbing my foot. the pain level was excruciating. Two ERs would not help me. I was in so much pain and could not get help that had to call Dr V. Dr Vilims was helpful, caring, and listened to my symptoms. He was very busy these few wks with out of town business, but he quickly fit me into his schedule for an MRI I was refused everywhere else. He tried injections.Then he referred me me to an excellent surgeon (Kleiner) to whom I was to call. Instead Dr V called Dr K and I was immediately scheduled for surgery. He cared that I wasn't left in pain any longer. He's a godsend!

Dr. Vilims & his staff have been keeping me as pain free as possible with the disorder I suffer from. They CARE about their patients. He is very prompt, appointments are short and affective. His fees are incredibly affordable for those on SS/SSD.You can see his frustration when he can't do all he can to alleviate your pain when his hands are tied by rules & regulations that come with current health care system. He listens to me, I don't feel like my only purpose is to make his house payment. He believes that I KNOW what does/doesn't work, I actually get to participate in my treatment. By working WITH me, and going the extra mile for me, he and his team have given me years of walking, writing, playing with my Grandchildren and so many other things I couldn't have done had I any other pain specialist. To date, I would say he's given me about six years.

I have been seeing Dr. Vilims for 10 years after having a spine fusion. I had continuing pain in my arm and developed leg pain as well. I had 2 more surgeries but the comfort level after facet injections and other continuing procedures was great. If I had not been seeing Dr. Vilims during the spans between surgeries it would have been back to back operations and much harder on my body. The knowledge level is clearly cutting edge as he has invented procedures and trained other doctors around the world so they can help their patients. He is easy to talk to, no crazy medical terms that you wouldn't get anyway but he gets the information across easily. The staff is fantastic! As you can imagine going through insurance over and over through the years made billing and associated day to day tasks difficult. The staff are pros working with insurance, pharmacy, referrals and everything else. I would recommend Dr. Vilims to anyone that has pain issues related to the spine. You will thank me!

Dr.Vilims is amazing. I have been through the pain system for almost ten years & he's like being given an angel. Will go the extra mile and give u options! Very rare in today's Dr.mills. Love this Dr and his assistant Lacey!

Very unhappy about advice Dr. Vilims gave my husband about weening off some medication. When my husband asked him about weening off of Cymbalta, the doctor stated that unless my husband had convulsions, he could go off cold turkey. We found out the hard way that is NOT the case. Almost ruined our Christmas holiday. :-(

After a major injury that left scar tissue and a syrinx (fluid pocket) in my C-Spine I was referred to Dr. Vilims 10+ years ago. He has consistently kept me on track through injections when and where I needed them (diagnosed degenerative disc) which has kept me out of the hospital several times considering that I have many discs degenerating. In plain words he has kept my quality of life included in every step we have taken. I have always been treated as a person as apposed to a number at his offices by all staff including Lacey at the front desk and his accounting staff when my insurance was a disaster and I needed help to get it fixed. It hasn't always gone great and I have had 2 more fusions since I started there but I have avoided several others along the way as well. His recommendations to other doctors for surgery, therapy and several others have always been top notch in their field. I would recommend Dr. Vilims to ANYONE with spine/pain problems.

This is a professional, bright, and extremely uplifting pain office. I have been to 2 different offices after leaving my first and am so pleased with this office. I have chronic nerve pain and upon arriving here it was like a breath of fresh air. There are the same rules as any pain clinic, but you are treated as a human and Dr. Vilims and his nurse Lacey are so on top of everything you can just, relax knowing they have it all together. They are always on time --a big PLUS!!

Dr Vilims is a very competent and inelligent doctor, after a nasty electrocution that left me with some damaged nerves and constant pain, we went down a path of injections and finally to a spinal cord stimulator. Quality of life is getting better. Dr VIlims laid out treatment paths and gave me options to choose what I was comfortable with. I was near breakdown and he got me back from the brink. I am not totally pain free but I am improving and am looking forward to living agian. Thank you Dr Vilims..P.S. just dont get him started on insurance companies and bureaucrats making medical decisions

Dr. Vilims is wonderful!! He figured out what was wrong with me after 15 years of pain. I have been to several doctors and Dr. Vilims was the only one who figured out what was wrong. He sat and listened to everything I said. When one injection didn't work, he wanted to try something else and it worked!! Now, at least we can move forward and I can finally get some relief. I am so glad I found Dr. Vilims!!!!

Excellent staff and answer any question(s) that you may have. I have been seen by dr. Vilims for the past seven plus years and he is truly one of the best in his field. He goes the extra mile in his follow-up when you go home and he takes the time to listen to you prior to being operated on. His staff also takes the extra time with you so that you understand what is going to happen during the procedure.
