Dr Ananda is very knowledgeable and caring physician. Spends time explaining everything and next steps. I have been going to Dr. Ananda for over 15 years. I have recommended this Doctor to many others. They are very happy with her and they speaks very highly of her. Including all my family members are doctor Ananda’s patients. I still remember when I was hospitalized at Northshore in 2004 she treated me very well . Because of her I got well faster..She visited me every single day. Her passion and caring manner is exceptional. She calls back as soon as she receives the test results even after hours. Joanne and Betty her administrative assistants are very kind and speaks very professionally to patients. They always pass the messages to the doctor..You wouldn’t have to wait No more than 10 minutes to be called in to see the doctor. I love this doctor and highly recommends her to others.

I am a nurse and have been working in healthcare for 10 years. Dr. Ananda has been my mom's primary for quite a few years now, we see her twice a year. I go with her for all her Dr’s appointments because English is not my mom’s first language. After every Dr's visit, I walk out of there frustrated and say, I am not bringing my mom back here. Yet, I kept going because time would pass and my mom has a long medical history and the process of finding a new Dr seemed more daunting. Don't get me wrong, she is very thorough, she reads every word on the computer in a question form and at the slightest issue will refer you to a specialist (refers you to a specialist for EVERYTHING, which can be very frustrating). If you say something out of order or interrupt her, she has the tendency to belittle you or be very sarcastic. My mom or I never feel comfortable going to her, or feel like we can call her with anything. Not a safe space and we always dread the visit. Don’t get me wrong, I chose to keep taking my mom to her cause her thoroughness gave me a little comfort but after todays revisit, I decided it was time for a change. Being part of the healthcare system, I know how it can be frustrating from a provider stand point and from a patient’s perspective. I know how easy it can be to get caught up in the business of things as well. After all these years, I think it’s just time to find someone thorough yet approachable.

Has poor bedside manner. Needs to understand that she can convey her message with out talking down to people. Made me feel uncomfortable.

I have been with Dr. Ananda for over 15 years and I would follow her to any office she moved to. She is the best. Her bedside manner is excellent and she would never rush you out of her office. She is one of the last amazing doctors we have left. Everyone I have recommended to her loves her as well and continues to go to her without hesitation. Her staff is excellent as well!

There simply are not enough superlatives to describe Dr. Ananda. She is a real throwback to the time when family doctors truly cared about you and spent the time needed. She is professional in every sense of the word...and is warm and understanding of her patients. I have a daughter who is a second year resident and we always hold up Dr. Ananda as a wonderful example to follow. My entire family uses her. She has recommended specialists that have been terrific. I am 64, see many specialists...but she is my "gate keeper". I have recommended her to any and everybody who asks for a family doctor/internist. Trust me, you won't find many like her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Anandas for around 5 years now. She is an excellent Dr. Listens to you, speaks to you (not at you), very thorough. She has gotten quite busy of late so you do have to wait about 30 minutes for an appointment but it's worth the wait. Her office staff is wonderful.
