I went in to set up an appointment and was treated poorly by the witch at the window. She said a medication I take is a narcotic, which it is not and the doc won't prescribe it. Terrible staff knowledge and rude.

Dr. Cefalu took her time with me on my first appt. Very attentive and listened to my concerns. I just left my old dr. of 5 years, due to them not accepting my insurance and searched for a dr. with a private practice as I did not want to go into a "group" setting. I want someone that knows me and my medical history. Dr. Cefalu is an internist and also pediatrician. Her ratings speak for themself.

I am very impressed with Dr, Cefalu and will follow her anywhere she goes if feasible. When I brought my son to her at age 18 month he was suffering from chronic Asthma, he had weekly visits to the doctor or the emergency room, because he needed oxygen or a stronger dose of steroid to clear his air passage.
I think sleeping was a luxury for me, as I had to monitor him through out the night or deal with the vomiting/cleanup etc...
She took him under her wings and he is now almost 6 years old and Asthma under control. Now the doctor just sees him on routine visits or regular kids ailment.

Dr Cefalu is very detail oriented which enables her to stay on top of my entire health needs. I never feel rushed. She always knows from her notes what tests, etc need to be scheduled next and if the insurance will cover it. She always welcomes my input and explains things well.

Dr. Cefalu is a wonderful physician. She takes care of me and my family. She takes her time to get to know you and provides personal care. I don't feel like just a number with her. She is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable. She provides excellent guidance and thorough care. I have recommended her to friends and would recommend her to anyone looking for a family physician and pediatrician. My family and I have been under her care for approximately four years and we plan to stay with her as long as we are in north port.

She is an outstanding doctor. She takes fantastic care of my family and we absolutely love her. She is very intelligent and knows her stuff. We were worried when we got the letter that she was leaving but relieved to find out she was staying right here in North Port just at a different location. She is the only doctor for us.
