Wonderful, caring doctor and outstanding, courteous staff. Waiting time is a bit high, but this can be managed with getting something to do while waiting. Getting a referral to a specialist used to be a bit difficult, but not anymore. I've been this doctor's patient for over 10 years now. Overall, great doctor!

Dr. Askowitz is a good doctor for the healthy patients only. He seems primarily concerned with earning all possible incentives from insurance company, by saving insurance company as much money as possible. Getting a referral to a specialist is a big challenge. I had a prostate surgery done in 2001, but Dr. Askowitz had not sent me for a check up by urologist ever (been his patient since 2003). I have a suspected thyroid cancer but no, I am not sent to either an oncologist or endocrynologist, and even an ultrasound test has been postponed for a few months, as based on my understanding, he wanted to get it done in 2012, in order to earn his year-end incentives from Humana for 2011. My father died from colon cancer, but Dr. Askowitz never ordered any colon screening for me (I'm 62). After I pointed this fact to him, he said he will do it after six months. I could go on but I guess you get the picture.
