My sister was a patient of his and just passed away, she had cancer and he never even told her of the test results. An oncologist went into her room in the hospital to discuss her treatment and was totally thrown for a loop. The oncologist was also upset that she did not know. My sisters husband put in a call to Dr. Reiter and he would not return his calls. This guy is a joke and should not be practicing medicine. He should be a pharmacist because he does push pills.....

Dr. Mark Reiter has been our family physician for over 20 years. During that time he has always immediately addressed the health needs of my husband and I. He is spot-on when evaluating your symptoms and recommending treatment. We would travel across mountain tops to see him. He is the most caring, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor I have ever known. He is a brilliant physician and a wonderful person. My husband and I are blessed to have such a terrific doctor who will care for us into our golden years. I thank God for Dr. Mark Reiter. If you are looking for an internist, you need not worry; Dr Reiter is your man.

Dr. Reiter is compassionate. He also doesn't give you five seconds of his time and rush out the door. He does seem to only partially explain things at times, but I think it's an oversight not a slight. I ask if I'm confused, and he clarifies. I call back if neither of us thought of it while I was there. My only complaints are that his staff is ridiculously rude and inept/lazy and that sometimes you have to wait quite a while past your appointment to be seen. Otherwise, he tries to save you money with samples if he can, and he works with you on billing if you don't have the money right then. All he needs is a new front office staff, and he'd get a better rating.

Dr. Reiter is extremely flexible. He really listens to his patients and explains all options possible. I've had to see him numerous times in an emergency.

This guy was a complete joke. He didn't give my paernts a blood screen, he prescribed meds they should NOT be on, and then coded the bill the wrong way where they got stuck paying for it in cash. He's a jerk and I see malpractice is in his history. No wonder. Those who say he's great must be blind.

Dr Reiter asks questions to clarify the info provided to him and makes accurate diagnoses. I have been going to him for 10 years. In addition, he has given me info on other medical issues he is not treating me for, such as menopause. I have recommended him to a number of friends and they have all had positive experiences as well.

Fails to inform patients about their complete diagnosis. For example, told someone they had diabetes and that he called in two prescriptions, but never gave them information about diabetes or told them about checking their blood sugar. One of the medications should not have been prescribed because it was not suitable for patients with a history of heart disease (which Dr. Reiter had diagnosed previously). He has been the subject of at least four malpractice lawsuits (three of which resulted in death, one in amputation.) This is according to www.malpracticeweb.com
