Dr Solitario is extremely rude and unprofessional. Each time I had to take one of my stepdaughters in to her office she made very ignorant comments about my husband right in front of my kids and also always made very inappropriate comments in their weight. Both of the girls were teenagers at the time and already struggling with insecurities. They definitely didn’t need to be hearing such negativity during this vulnerable stage in their lives from their PEDIATRICIAN. If I could give her zero stars I would. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS WOMAN!

The first thing you need to know about Dr. Solitario is that she does NOT beat around the bush. She is very direct and blunt. Personally, I appreciate that about her, because there's nothing worse than a doctor who won't give you the facts, or "circles the airport" instead of just telling you what's going on. Dr. Solitario might make comments that some people find offensive. I honestly don't think she means offense at all! She is a genuinely caring person. I just think she knows what she wants to say/ask but doesn't have the right words to say/ask it.

I first took my daughter to Dr. Solitario for her one year checkup and the first thing she did was hand her a dum-dum sucker. She is very direct, which I found uncomfertable regarding a well-baby check up, not to mention my mental freaking out over my child now being in posession of a sugarfied choking hazard. She never asked the general question of "how are things going?" or showed any interest in how the baby was other than a very breif checking over. Since then, my baby was sick and I chose to go to the quick-care clinic instead of dealing with the pediatrician, but there was trouble with a recurrant ear infection so I took my daughter back to her, where I was scolded repeatedly for taking my baby to the quick-care and not to her. Unfortunetly we have tricare and are limited in which doctors we can see, otherwise we would already have a new pediatrician. Dr. Solitario may be good with older children, but she is not comforting for new mothers or overly helpful with babies.

I have taken both my son and daughter to Dr. Solitario for at least 8 years. They both love her, she talks directly to them, she always makes them feel special, She puts me at ease. You couldn't ask for a better Pediatrician.

My son had to see this Dr. one time because my Dr. was not in and he needed to be seen. He was 5 months old and very sick. First he told me that I was feeding him too much. Hello you can not over feed an infant. If they are not hungry they will not eat. Im not going to let my baby scream because he is hungry. She barely looked him over and said oh he has a cold he will be fine. You need to stop feeding him so much. Needless to say we were back in the Dr. office a few days later, now he had a sever ear infection, and a sinus infection. I told our Dr. what she did and what she told me. My Dr. said that I can request not to see her ever again. It is posted in their files. I will take my children to the ER before I will see her.

Dr. Solitario is a great Pediatrician. She cares about her patients and always takes time to listen. She explains what the problem is and how it will be treated.
