Dr. Freyne is terrible. She keeps prescribing medications without explaining why. I got more information about my medications from the pharmacist than from her. She doesn't look you in the eye or take time to answer your questions. Several times they asked me to switch rooms after I was already sitting down waiting for the doctor. My breaking point was when I had to change my appointment due to an unrelated illness and Dr. Freyne refused to refill my prescription to tide me over for a few days until I could come in. My new doctor is a little farther away but definitely worth the drive. On a positive note, I did find the office staff friendly.

I brought my 82 year old mother to meet Dr. Freyne, yes it was a long wait. My mom was told after contacting her insurance company we would get a call. After repeatedly calling to ask what was holding up the approval. Which was now 4 month old. My mom was having difficulty with her balance and was skipping her daily walks. These shots were going to help with her knees which are bone on bone. I contacted the insurance company papers were not completed properly and turned in months later. I contacted another Doctor we were approved in 1 week. My mother had completed all 3 shots and she's taking her daily walks once again. I'm very grateful to our new Doctor. My mom has Aetna Insurance, which cancelled Dr Freyne orders and resent the pappwrwork The new Doctor is wonderful his staff is competent and very friendly. I'm very thankful my mom wasn't injured due to the delay in treatment!!!

this doctor is THE WORST doctor I have seen in my entire life. took forever both times ive been seen. if you go here, you are more of just a number it seems. both times ive gone I have sat around and waited to be seen for at least 45 mins to an hour just to talk to the doctor for 2 minutes. she diagnosed me with fibromyalgia without a physical exam, had some blood tests done and all which came back normal. I am no doctor but after research on google and friends and family who have fibromyalgia, I do not have the symptoms of that. not to mention in order to have fybro....the doctor needs to do a physical which means putting their hands PHYSICALLY on you to check for trigger points. which she did not do. she then tried to make me buy some 60$ supplement they sell in the office for energy. I have plenty of energy and even if I didn't have energy ill be damned if I paid 60$ so she could make a profit on that, no way. needless to say find another doctors cuz she is not worth your time

I will never go back to Dr. Freyne's office again. I WILL be finding a new rheumatologist. From the less than friendly staff (the receptionist being the WORST) to the doctor who dismisses everything you say, it was just a bad experience overall. My appointment was almost 45 minutes late. When I finally got called into a room, I was interrupted by a nurse, twice, about matters pertaining to other patients. The doctor is very cold. She does not try to reassure you about anything. She doesn't explain a thing to you. She is very disconnected from her patients. She has a terrible habit of talking to herself during your appointment. She asks the same questions over and over again. She cuts you off repeatedly. I have never had an experience at a doctor's office before like this.

Beware:It took OVER 1 1/2 hrs before the Dr even came in to see me! Bills the insurance RIDICULOUS amounts of money. Doctors like this is why our insurance rates are So HIGH. Highly recommend going somewhere else, even if you have to drive!

To those that have defended Dr Freyne, it's not about her intellect. It's about her people skills bottom line, for which she has little to none. For those that enjoy what you seem to think is intellect then you too must also enjoy vague half answers to questions and the sensation of total disconnect between two people. These people with bad experiences aren't all seeking coddling, rather a Dr that maybe makes eye contact and at least pretends to listen, among other things. Her oversights led me to experience many costly inconveniences. I've issued a formal complaint with my referring PCP and Patient Advocacy Group with my insurance provider. Good for you if you've somehow 'clicked' with her. Overall it was an extremely poor experience. For the record though I will say she is not a rude woman. She is emotionless, icy, disconnected, distracted (usually by her laptop with feverish typing), rushed, socially awkward. And when they mess up do not expect an apology let alone admittance.

My mother, now passed away, had visited this Doctor several times. Dr. Freyne was not compassionate - ordering bevies of unneeded tests and prescribing a plethora of medications, which turned my mother into a zombie. When we expressed our concern regarding her lucidity, more medication was prescribed - none of which helped, making my mother's last months on earth more excruciating. Thank God we found a competent Doctor who prescribed Prednisone and took her off unnecessary medications. Pain subsided and her lucidity was restored. Not only would Dr. Freyne refuse to listen to her/our concerns, she was as quick to shuffle us in, then out, like a cowboy would do to freshly branded cattle in the corral. Their staff was rude over a matter of $20 they were owed, which was subsequently paid; an accounting error on our part due to confusing insurance co-pays. Do not visit Dr. Freyne - not only is she curt, I wonder why the poor treatment; I actually thought she may be prejudiced...

I was told I would need to pickup my medical forms before my appointment date so I could have them all filled out. The day of my appointment I waited an hour for Dr. Freyne. She then spent 20 minutes asking me the same questions as the ones on the medical forms, which I had already spent time answering. She ignored my medical records, labs, and x-ray reports from the 4 previous doctors I was seeing before I had moved to California. I told her about the pain I was having in my joints because of my Rheumatoid Arthritis, she told me the pain was from Fibromyalgia - she ignored what I showed her in my medical records, labs, and x-rays of my joints. Dr. Freyne does not have good bedside manners, she was rough with my painful joints when she was looking at them. She was not interested in what I thought and pretty much ignored what I told her. Dr. Freyne showed no compassion or understanding and treated me like I was just another number. She was a huge dissapointment!!!

If you require handholding and tongue-clucking sounds of sympathy, avoid Dr. Freyne. On the other hand, if you value intellec, directness and a solid academic approach, she would be a good choice. On my visits, the staff was always both professional and friendly, and the wait time was no longer than it ever is witht any modern physician's office.
