My son was referred to Dr. Buckmire with a fairly large mass in his colon. Dr. Buckmire was excellent in communicating the facts and what to expect prior to during and after the surgery. His medical and administrative staff was also very professional which allowed him to spend the maximum time possible focusing on his patients. My son was one of the youngest colon cancer patients. Dr. Buckmire was diligent in making surgical and medical decisions that would impact my son’s life and overall health and wellness short and long term. He and his phenomenal medical crew performed a complicated surgery for long hours. Dr. Buckmire is a gifted surgeon who surrounds himself with the best medical professional. My son felt well in just few days after the surgery, had bowl movement and was discharged from the hospital. Luckily, my son had a stage I colon cancer and the procedure performed by Dr. Buckmire’s was all he needed to heal and go on with his life. We’re deeply grateful to Dr. Buckmire and his crew. We’ve so blessed to be referred to him. He’s a gifted surgeon and a good person!

Br Buckmire recently performed a very complicated surgery on my rectal tumor and I am very pleased with both the results and the followup. He has assembled an excellent and responsive team at Advanced Surgical, and he is an excellent communicator who actually listens carefully and provides the appropriate feedback. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Buckmire and his team to anyone requiring colo-rectal surgery.

I've had been in significant pain for which Dr Buckmire performed rectal surgery. He listens well and asks lots of questions to really understand the whole situation. He did not push me into immediately having surgery. We tried numerous treatments before the eventual surgery. The surgery was successful and Dr Buckmire and his entire team were amazingly thoughtful, caring and competent. I have tremendous confidence in Dr Buckmire and appreciate all he and his team did to help me through this process of healing.

I came to see Dr. B in January 2015 to discuss my severe Ulcerative Colitis. I had recently seen a Dr at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale who was condescending and indifferent to my concerns about using biomeds for my disease. She actually discharged me from her care after a failed colonoscpy with a hemoglobin level of 6.4 and told me to come back in two days for a blood transfusion. My husband (who is an RN) immediately rushed me to his hospital and I was admitted for 3 days for a transfusion. During this time I researched and found Dr.B. I was scheduled an app in a timely and he took his time discussing and addressing all of my concerns and options with my disease. He even called me after hours one evening to make sure I was feeling okay and to address additional concerns and fears I had. Dr. B was patient and professional every step of the way. He held my wishes in mind and involved me in my care decisions. At 35 years old I was very sick and had 3 little kiddos at home and Dr B has made it so that I can be healthy to my fullest potential and have many more happy years with my family. I can not say enough about Dr. B or his medical assistance Leona. She has spent countless hours on the phone with me guiding me and relaying my information to Dr. B. THE whole staff is just amazing. This was a life changing decision and I felt I was and am in the best hands. DR B you will never know how truly you have changed my life and I can not thank you enough!!

Dr. Buckmire is exceptional, as is his staff. My surgical procedure went extremely well --- thanks to the entire surgical staff, including the superior ability of my surgeon (Dr. Buckmire) and the anesthesiologist.

Dr. Buckmire is incredible. I can't recommend him enough. I went through serious life changing surgery and was in the hospital for 29 days. He was there several times a day. I'm not sure the man is human. He's like a surgical robot that has the capacity to be extremely caring about every single person he meets. Do not go to any other colorectal surgeon.

Dr Buckmire helped me with my problem that I had for one year. A Dr from University Missouri Medical Center suggested I call Dr Buckmire. He was very honest with what needed to be done. After 2 surgeries I was hesitant to go through another surgery. Looking at the PEP scan Dr Buckmire explained what he had to do. Had surgery Dec 22 and on Christmas day Dr Buckmire release me from the hospital. The past surgeries I stayed in the hospital for 5 days.

Administrative error cost me $599. Dr. Buckmire's staff did not receive prior auth from CIGNA for prescribed therapy sessions even though they notified Hospital to set up first appointment. Went to 1st appointment believing all was cleared through Dr's office. Received bill for $599 visit and CIGNA denied claim. Office manager took no responsibility for their mistake and I am surprised at the lack of ownership this office takes for their mistakes. Patients beware!!

Very caring.I had major surgery. I was in the hospital for 6 days post-op. He came every day and made sure that I had everything I needed. Great bedside manner.
