Dr. Braunlich is a TERRIBLE person. Cold, aloof, indifferent, impatient. We are educated people from the North Shore who expect more than a man who is dismissive and rude. Do not let his credentials fool you. There are plenty of good doctors within Lake Forest. Dr. Monika McLain is one of them. RUN from this man.

Dr. Braunlich is a caring, absolutely brilliant doctor. His vast knowledge is a comfort to me, and he takes the time to hear what you have to say. He does NOT like to see anyone in pain, and will talk to you and prescribe if/what you need all you have to do is ask. He even listens to you about the research you have done/or do about your problem, he's not arrogant or condescending and I thank GOD for this man.

I feel this doctor believes: (1) Anyone who is overweight is weak. (2) Anyone who has chronic pain needs to shut up and deal with it, unless they can afford thousands of dollars trying unproven treatments or therapies of the psych variety. Just had a 20 min. appt. that took 2 hours start to finish (forgiven since it was same day urgent). Got no tx, just a lecture on things I'd already learned through online research. I could barely get a word in. Suddenly he was out of his chair and I realized it was over, nothing happened unless you count the waste of my time. Given other glowing reviews for this doc, I'll not trust this site to lead me to a new PCP. I no longer believe there are any in this state who actually *practice* medicine, all just talk and referrals.

I am very satisfied with the medical care I have received from Dr. Braunlich as my Internist. He is always very thorough, never in a hurry, listens to all of my concerns and questions, and accurately diagnoses and treats my conditions. I am very glad that I have Dr. Braunlich as my Internal Medicine physician. I also appreciate the fact that he or his office always promptly calls me back, and that it is not overly difficult to get an appointment in his Lake Forest office.

When I was on public assistance and social security he gave me five star treatment. Now that I am employed his treatment is the same excellent quality, only difference is he is being paid.

He has always been helpful, listens to patients, and admits if he doesn't know something. If he doesn't know, he will find out and will contact the patient. He is excellent about returning phone calls.
