Thank you all to the people who how so much negative stuff to say about us staff. We work our butts off. We care about each and every patient. We go above and beyond for the patients. I have personally come out of my own pocket to help patients with medication and supplies they needed and could not afford. "Lazy" is not the word to describe us. Possibly inpatient is the word to describe some of you. On top of taking care of patients in the office, we have to do hundreds of referrals on a weekly basis, hundreds of refills. Perhaps if patients did not request things Athens last moment there would not be such an issues. Don't call when your meds are out, don't request a referral when you are sitting at the doctors office you need the referral for. Perhaps if we all worked together things could run smoother. It's not all the fault of the staff. CC is one of the best MA's I have ever had. She doesn't have a rude bone in her body.
So please next time you have a complaint or would like to make a suggestion, please feel free to ask for me, Mary the office manager.
And one more thing, never have charged anyone 300.00 for medical records. Who in this right mind would ever pay that. I actually have not charged anyone for records in the past year.

Have a great night!!

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO DR. LYONNS FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 YEAR AND A HALF.. I PERSONALLY HAVENT BEEN TO A DOCTORS OFFICE AND NOT EXPECT TO WAIT...I HAVE BEEN SATISFIED WITH THE VISITS.. AT ONE OR TWO OF MY VISITS DR LYONS HAD SPENT OVER AN HOUR TO AN HOUR AND A HALF WITH ME, GOING OVER SOME ISSUES AND TALKING ABOUT PLAN OF ACTIONS. THE ONLY ISSUE I HAVE HAD IS HOW THE INSURANCE COMPANIES DO THING NOW....I HAD TO CHANGE COMPANIES BECAUSE OF THE OBAMA CARE.....IF PEOPLE WOULD PRACTICE KINDNESS WITH HER STAFF THEN MAYBE THEY WOULD GET ANSWERS WHEN ASKED. CC AND MARY HAVE ALWAYS TAKEN GOOD CARE OF ME.I DON'T HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE OFFICE STAFF ...THE WAY THEY ARE TALKED AT IS PROPER... YOU GET TREATED THE WAY YOU TREAT OTHERS... BEING GODLY , YOU WILL BE TREATED GODLY..

Wait time always over an hour. Incredibly rude staff. Felt I was totally over medicated the charged $300 for copy of my records when I decided to switch doctors. I'm not sure if that's even legal!

I'm getting ready to change Dr.s again. I've twice now had to cancel appointments with other dr.s because she didn't give referals as requested. I even drove down there 27 miles from my house to get a referal when one dr said they never got it. I'm getting tired of this.

I switched to Dr. Lyons beause my spine needed adjustments (and that is one of the things DO's are trained to do)and when I called to make my first appt., the nurse confirmed that "yes, Dr. Lyons did do spinal maniplations." However, when I got there she said she would't start them immediately but at a later date. Astime went on and I inquired when she would start them, she announced she would not be doing them for me and gave no explanation why.
However, as the appts. went on, i found that the office always never runs on a schedule. If you are shown to a waiting room, you well could spend several hours being moved from one room to another with a very short visit from the Dr. winding up your lengthy stay.

The staff is absolutely lacking in good training and P.R. There is no attempt at helping an elderly patient into the examination room. The scale for weigh-in is rickety and small and the so-called guard rail around it is flimsy and rickety as well. The nurse that sees the patient to the examination room wants to take BP reading as soon as you get in there, instead of the requird customary time to settle down and take it 10-15 minutes later. The BP cuff is not a good procedure for those with heavy upper arms but no matter, they don't offer the alternate wrist cuff and you better bring your wrist cuff if your BP goes up just anticipating the painfu upper arm cuff! There is no table top on which to rest your arm at heart height so you get a proper reading. The nurse has you rest your hand in your lap! It's sad when the patient knows more about a proper BP reading than the nurse in the doctor's office. The procedure for communicating with the office is very bad. They don't ever answer the phone and their "lunch hour" seems to go on for hours. Their system for communicating by computer is assinine. Just a simple email woud be a good idea!!!!!! The nurse is very rude and treats you like you're a moron. The doctor herself is pleasant enough but by the time she gets in to see you, one's patience is worn thin and she seems rushed. I made an early morning appt., thinking this way Iwould not come at the tail end of a busy day for her, but still wound up spending almost 3 hours in various "holding" rooms they switch you to. Apparently she inserted new patients into her already full morning schedule and those of us whose appointments were of long standing, just had to get bumped down the line.

I understand doctors are only human and can have difficult days as well as the rest of us, but what this doctor needs is a staff that undestands the the basic people skills it takes to be a good back up crew for their boss, and how to conduct an office that values appointment times and respects other people's time as much as they want the patients to respect theirs! While I like the doctor herself, I am seriously considering switching because my blood pressure goes up just anticipating this same old same old every time I go in for an appointment, and even my advocate who accompanies me said "This is ridiculous!!!!" I found her pacing the floor when I finally emerged 2-plus hours later. The front desk keeps its window closed at all times. There is no bathroom accessible from the waiting room.

Everything the post says of 5/17/14 is true!!! You can check with any patient and they will confirm that Dr Lyons does not value their time and she does not value a good staff. Dr Lyons patient to doctor ratio is scarey!! dr Lyons staff could not keep up with the needs of the patients because their are too many for the amount of staff Patients think the workers didnt care BUT THEY DID they worked for no additional pay until 8 and 9 in the evenings and again FOR FREE on Saturdays and Sundays unfortunately Dr Lyons has no follow through on medications labs or consults so the staff is left to handle it Dr Lyons does not call patients back she leaves that up to the staff too!! My family has been neglected by her and it is time to switch doctors!!! None of the familiar staff will be there on your next visit she has fired everyone Again!! To the patients from 2008 to today God Bless and know the staff tried!!!

Dr. Lyons is the worst person to work for. You dedicated your time and it's not appreciated. She's always late and have the patients waiting. She doesn't value the patient time and she always has us reschedule the patient when she's the one that's spending too much time 45 to 50 mins which makes no sense. But she'll blame her staff for her not makin money she's a poor excuse for calling herself a doctor she's always 4months behind on reviewing labs diagnostic test. I just want to make it clear to the patients that CELESTE Karlenne Milly Susie Melinda pa josh Andrea (biller) Leslie we all cared about ur care and always made sure u guys were seen but it was the doctor that choose to cancel your appt or reschedule. If I was u please seek a new doctor who cares and is on time seeing you and does not change ur appointment. The turn around time on her staff is 2yrs and she lets them go. Good luck

I'm switching doctors. During the 4 visits, Dr. Lyons never touched me. How can a doctor exam you without checking for lumps, problems, etc. She moved and never notified me so on the day of my appointment I had to drive all over looking for her new office. Some of her office staff are lazy; I have asked 3 times for them to resend a claim to my insurance. I've been waiting a week for a prescription to be called in and it still has not. Dr. Lyons relies on her computer too much. The whole time I'm with her she's on the computer asking me questions. The last time she asked me how I got the hernia and I don't have a hernia. I don't know where she got that from, but I don't trust her anymore. She's more of a computer geek than a doctor. Trusts the computer to spit out a diagnosis instead of treating me herself. She should have her license revoked.
