I am xperienced several complications. I wish I had chosen a different provider. I do not feel that he adequately planned or executed my surgery.

Six years ago I chose this plastic surgeon, Jason Cacioppo, not understanding the importance of a second opinion and the need to do your own research. Him booking his clients three women per 15 minutes and running well over an hour late every visit was bad enough but he was actually upset with me when I asked a fourth question. He huffed, sat down, crossed his legs and stared at me. I learned more about breast cancer surgery in the packed waiting room than anywhere else and they were all horror stories about surgery complications. I, myself, was so thankful I escaped Chemo and radiation I tolerated the deep 3” by 3” by 2.5” triangle shaped wound I woke up with and that required being attached to a football sized WoundVac machine for a month and a half and then, soon after, I handled being pulled away, for the needed skin graft surgery, from the bedside of my mom in hospice in New Mexico as she was in her last month on this earth.. The whole experience was so horrible it took me over two years before I was able to discuss all this with the hospital patient advocate. I was not thinking about legal action but wanting to warn them. The doctor left the hospital within 3 months. I am still dealing with MAJOR medical issues I believe were brought on by his handling of my surgery. Today another layer of the onion was peeled to find yet another medical issue that may require more rounds of extensive surgery and prompted this message. I hope he has learned some life lessons in the last six years... I sure have.

Dr Cacioppo is one of the kindest, most gracious, and caring physicians I have ever met. I have been dealing with medical professionals, both on a personal as well as professional level for over 44 years and there are very few I can say that about. His surgical skill is outstanding, his results perfect. I am incredibly thankful I was refered Dr Cacioppo
