In 2007, at the age of 75, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. Dr. Ruth Elaine Higden recognized the severity of my situation and within a few days I was in the operating room where she removed my one remaining ovary containing the cancer, and also checked all my other organs to make sure the cancer had not spread. She saved my life and later told me I was a her miracle, but she was mine. Here I am in April of 2024 still doing good at almost 92 years of age. Have thought of you often, always with Thanks. I understand you have retired now and well deserved, you are one fantastic, compassionate and knowledgable of any doctor I know, right nest to my son-in-law, Dr. Parrish.

Perhaps the GREATEST ob/gyn oncologist available. I had a huge tumor that was possibly cancerous so my local Fairbanks doctor referred me to her in Anchorage. She is nothing put caring, a top notch and perfectionistic surgeon. She did a great job!

Dr. Hidgon did my hysterectomy three years ago. We traveled down from Fairbanks Ak because they wouldn't do it here due to the teratoma on my ovary. She was an awesome doctor - very professional & caring. She called me when we got back to Fairbanks to check on me. I would recommend her to any woman needing surgery! Awesome doctor & staff!

This woman was my doctors (he was a resident) head of staf... she was AWESOME! She helped deliver my daughter last year, and the whole environment was stress free. I LOVE HER!!! (my actual doctors name was Dr. Anthony Larson) He left soon after my daughter was born, and I wish he hadent! BEST doctor i have ever had!!!!
