Dr Vest himself is a fantastic doctor in my opinion. However, the receptionist is incompetent and rude. Previously, on my last visit, she told me that my insurance was not accepted and that I'd have to make a payment. She suggested that I call my insurance.

I did call. They told me that they only denied it because they had no idea how much they had to pay, because it was filled wrong. The lady gave instructions on what needed to be done. I let my insurance rep speak to the receptionist and explain what she needed to do. The receptionist received a number to call to submit the bill properly. The receptionist handed ME the number and said "There you go. Call them. Welcome to my world".

I called and could not speak to a human because it was asking for PROVIDER ID which, of course, the receptionist had, but I have no idea what that is. I explained this to her and she just said that I'd had the same problem that she would? Does she not know the information she is supposed to know for billing?

This all resulted in me being coerced into a payment of 200 that i SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO PAY! The receptionist herself knew that my insurance was more than willing to pay the bill in entirety, she just didn't want to do her one job.

I went back today and she tried it again!

I told her that Brightway Imaging had to do the same thing and they had no problem at all. I paid NOTHING for my MRI because those people knew what they had to do after I told them what the deal was.

This person is rude, snide and either completely incompetent or just completely unwilling to do her job. At the expense of the patients.

I know he has performed a lot of successful knee surgeries but my knee is worse than it was before the surgery. Pain medication is all I could get from him afterwards. I don't want to be a prescription drug addict. I stopped going to him after I said to him " so your saying it sucks to be me" and his answer was yes.

A danger to his patients.
My wife went to Dr. Vest with back pain that radiated down her leg and up to her neck. She saw Dr. Vest and his PA several times over a year including xrays, an MRI, and physical therapy.
Dr. Vest stated that it was disk degeneration and she would have to learn to live with the pain. She is 31 years old. He then gave her a shot for muscle pain and prescribed her muscle relaxers, even though by his own diagnosis it was her disks. His physical therapist gave her a wedge for one of her shoes because she said that my wife's legs were different lengths and that was why she was in pain.
Today my wife went to another doctor who found that she had a fractured vertebra and a broken tailbone. Dr. Vest should not be trusted to diagnose or treat anyone.

My pain is unbearable, yet I was shoved out the door. Nice. Need to start putting the patient first, not $$$

I had a kind of complicated and completely torn biceps muscle that Dr. Vest repaired about 5 years ago and so far all is good. I also had a dislocated coccys (tailbone) that was very painful, he offered an injection and other remedies, explaining how surgery on that part of the anatomy can lead to other issues. I appreciated his candor on that rather than insisting on surgery considering he's a surgeon. Just my personal experience.

Vest is the worst doctor i've been to, he has two women take care of most patients and they don't have a clue as to what they are doing. They think that having exrays done and giving you expensive steroid and anti Inflammatory shots will take care of your pain. The shots did absolutely nothing and they charged $4000.00 for the shots. All they do there is rack up a huge bill and you get no relief from your pain. Stay away from this doctor unless you have a lot of money to throw away.

My father was operated on by this man and it was the biggest mistake he has ever made. He is worse then when he started. It has been two years and he kept telling him he just needed time to heal. Wouldn't send my worst enemy to him.
