Dr. Engler has been very helpful for my allergies and asthma. Before, I never could build up my allergy shots, but now they're working beautifully. I had been to 3 allergists before and not once did one of them check my blood for Vitamin D deficiency; apparently he has published two papers showing the relationship between low Vitamin D and severe reactions to allergy shots. After starting on that vitamin, my shots got built up to a high enough dose that I am now symptom free. I go to the Fannin office and love the nurses there, especially Nohemi in the back and Debbie Sims in the shot room. The manager told me that Debbie has been there since 1973! Wow. When I told them that my insurance changed and the new one didn't cover my asthma inhalers, they got it preauthorized plus they gave me a coupon so now I only pay $10 a month for the expensive maintenance inhaler, Breo. There is a comment below about the office running late--that does happen sometimes, but I always bring some work to get done if I have to wait. I love that it's in the medical center but there's plenty of free parking in the front and the back.

I went to Dr. Engler with zero help. He ordered testing and the clerk applied a few test strips, I went back for reading of result twice by the clerk ONLY. Dr. Engler never spent time with me except when he typed on a computer, then got up and left without a word. He apparently forgot I had other allergy problems to be addressed. Then a clerk gave me three computers print out sheets on three things she said I was allergic to according to the skin test and that was it!!! She told me to read up on the computer about allergies. I didn't go to a allergist to get my info from a computer! Dr. Engler was not interested, didn't offer information. I had questions still unanswered and need further testing and will have to go elsewhere. Don't waste your time here, you will be disappointed. Ray, an office employee, had told me that at the second reading of the skin test results Dr. Engler would go over things with me. He never did!! When I told Ray this as I left, he just looked slightly puzzled but said nothing.

My son's 9o'clock appointment was pushed for 10 because of no room available. Then why the staff did consider the availability of the room when I make the appointment. I did not hear the staff saying sorry for this. Sounds that my time is worthless.

I have what the docs call "brittle asthma". Being around a cat makes me wheeze instantly. If I catch cold, that often means an ER visit. I am so thankful I found The Allergy Clinic and Drs. Engler, Malick and Saraf. They evaluated the usual things allergists do, but some other things that no doctor has evaluated, like my specific immunity to the germs that cause bronchitis. Besides the traditional treatments, they taught me about which nutritional supplements can help and which to STAY AWAY FROM. I had no idea that chammomile tea was bad if your allergic to ragweed.
The comment below about Faith, the office manager, is way out of line. She is very sweet and so are all the staff. The fact that one nurse has been there 40 years and one 20 years and most employees over 5 years should tell you something.
One complaint is that they often don't see my at my appointment time, but that's really ok because the doctor will spend 45 minutes in the room with me if that's what it takes to figure things out. I'd much rather bring my ipad or a book and spend waiting time constructively than have some doctor that breezes in and out in 3 minutes.

My first visit was very detailed. He ran test and found some things that other doctors had not found in over 20 years. I have a very complicated history of sinus/allergies and migraines. So we decided to do the RUSH immunothereapy, which I am only into my 2nd week of shots, so prayfully I hope I have great results as the previous patient. So far, he has been very knowledgeable in finding what has been some new issues thus far. Thanks Dr. Engler also love his lovely and nice staff, they are so helpful.

I did the "RUSH" procedure where you get the first 5 or 6 months of allergy shots all in one day. Now I only take allergy shots once every 4 weeks. I haven't felt this well in years! No more itchy eyes, runny nose or post nasal drip. Thanks, Dr. Engler. The nurses and front desk are very nice, too.
