Dr. Brody operated on my rather severe hernia. From the outset I was pleased with his knowledge, bedside manner, office staff and expertise. I was off my pain meds in 2 days and back to work in 8 days. While I still have a few more weeks to completely heal, my experience with GW Hospital and Dr. Brody were much easier than I anticipated. Now I know why my neighbor who is a surgeon from another hospital recommended Dr. Brody by saying, "If I needed a hernia operation, I would go to Dr. Brody." I am glad I took that advice and highly recommend Dr. Brody.

Dr Brody is an excellent surgeon. Very knowledgable, he cares for his patients. Yes, he doesn't talk too much, laughs, or makes jokes. But it doesn't matter because all we need is his hands, not his mouth! My father had a surgery, 8 hours after the surgery he was out of the hospital and next day he didn't even need any pain killers. He performed the surgery through one - ONE - little incision. Incredible surgeon!!!

Dr. Brody took out my gall bladder -- I was in by 8 am and out by 2 pm -- did not need an overnight stay. Needed pain meds the first night and then not again. Was back to normal the 2nd day after surgery.

I was referred to Dr. Brody at George Washington University for a laproscopic cholecystectomy (removal of the gall bladder). The operation went very well, so well in fact that I did not have to stay in the hospital but was sent home the same day (surgery in the morning, out the door in the afternoon). I had pain at the incision site when I moved for a day and then nothing. Healing was perfect, almost impossible to find the four little holes they poked in me to do the surgery. I would recommend Dr. Brody highly to anyone who needs a general surgeon.

He's your "man"/doctor if you need a surgeon. He may "seem" a little stiff, but he truly cares for each and everyone of his patients. He knows he's only as good as he cares. He takes medicine very seriously, but is jovial enough to be lighthearted too from time to time. The Humanitarian User Devise (HUD) coordinator Mrs. Hanna is wonderful--top notch, professional and extremely helpful. She's fantastic. As far as Dr. Brody, you couldn't be in any better hands. Other dr's want to work with him--that should say something about him. First hand knowledge and experience is the best, and I can say, he is the best!!! Thank you Dr. Brody (Brook and Glenda too).
