I also had a similar experience to others posting here. I have chronic Lyme (proven via PCR and immune tests) and he told me straight to my face, despite positive tests, that I don't have Lyme. He is truly ignorant about tick borne illnesses and purely follows guidelines (actually, I was positive by CDC standards too, so not even) rather than critical thought or evidence.

He is horrible. This was the worst doctor's appointment I've ever had. He is ignorant and caused me harm by neglecting me. I later tested positive with another doctor for a disease he claimed I didn't have just by looking at me. He said that nothing was wrong with me.

Dr. Donald Allegra was considerate and competant. He was punctual. On several ocassions he gave me travel immunizations. Another time I received the chicken pox vaccine. He is exceptional in his care and treatment. I most highly recommend him.

Dr Allegra has been very concerned. He has been seeing my daughter for a medical condition knowone has Bern able to diagnose. He has called the house twice this week to check on her without us even calling!! He is willing to say he does not know what her condition is but has been researching and talking to other specialists to get her a diagnosis and the proper treatment! We are very appreciativeof his willingness to keep looking and trying to help!

Basically this man saved my life. He is caring, patient and very knowledgeable in my disease. I moved out of state and still travel to see him.

He is the worst doctor I have ever been to. I came in when I was 12 years old because I believed that I had Chronic Lyme Disease and he told me that Chronic Lyme doesn't exist. He said that I was making it up and was looking for attention. He, then, proceeded to call my house later that night to tell my parents to get me off the internet to stop feeding my Hypochondria. I am now seeing a Lyme Disease specialist and it turns out that I do, indeed, have Chronic Lyme. He was terrible and I feel sick to my stomach remembering that appointment.
