Dr. Morris appears more of an ideologue than a health professional. He spent most of his engagement with me pontificating about the demerits of socialized health care while extolling the virtues of privatised care. He demonstrated no empathy for the pain I was experiencing, perhaps in order to demonstrate how bad our health system is, he gave me a surgery date of 29th of March. I saw him on the 31st of January 2024.

Dr. Morris performed plastic surgery on my nose to remove a growth. The surgery was pain free at Lions Gate and I left with several stiches and an instruction sheet. The stitching was perfect, with no blood and little swelling. A week later, Dr. Morris removed the stitches and there will be no visible signs of the surgery. His office opens at 8 a.m. to consult or remove the stitches which is fabulous. He did an outstanding job. Great doctor.

Dr. Morris removed a mole on my back. The initial consultation at his office in West Vancouver was quickly scheduled and he called me in from the waiting room early. He is very professional and knowledgeable. The surgery at Lions Gate went quickly, without any issues, pain free, and perfectly. He phoned to advise me of the results of the lab testing. He gets an A+ in my book.

I attended my medical appointment with Dr. Morris at Lion’s Gate Hospital. Upon our meeting, I mentioned that my father had the same issue and surgery performed and that he recovered with no change in his physical condition; his ear intact the same after as prior to his surgery. Dr. Morris’ only response was a small chuckle and the comment that “You will be a little more aerodynamic when you leave than when you arrived”. At no point in time did Dr. Morris consult what the procedure would entail nor indicate he was going to cut a large portion of my ear off, leaving the cartilage protruding out the back side of my ear without flesh nor skin to cover it. Upon my departure from the hospital, Dr. Morris advised me to leave the bandage on for 24 hours after which I could remove it. Dr. Morris provided no further guidance nor medicinal prescription or advice for taking care of the wound post -operation.

My situation has only been made significantly worse than when I first visited Dr. Morris. To date the wound remains very sensitive and in constant stinging discomfort due to the exposed cartilage which has no flesh nor skin to cover and protect it. As a Plastic Surgeon, I would have expected the Dr. to want to leave a person in as good or better of condition physically and mentally post operation as prior.

I had to have a cancerous lesion taken from my ankle on 10th Jan 2023. My interactions with his office in West Van was superb! Very accomodating all throughout. Dr. Morris was factual and quite nice to me before and after surgery. He made sure the procedure was painless. I was very impressed by his female staff, and by him. I felt quite lucky to get in so quickly!!

Dr Denis Morris is an excellent surgeon and very kind. I had total trust of him right from the start. He made me feel comfortable, secure and that i was in completely competent hands. Thank you Doctor for your perfect work on a facial upper lip mole. I cannot recommend him enough.

Bedside manners seriously lacking, a bit of a crusty older Doctor! He carried out a small surgery for a Basil cell growth under my right ear that had to be removed which was done painlessly, efficiently and no fuss and bother! I'm happy to use him for any further skin issues.

Terrible guy, not the least interested in what was going on with me. I have a small cyst in my chest wall. He took a quick look at it, scheduled me for removal and gave me a bill for $400! Cancelled this evening.

He is the worst doctor I have ever seen. He does not care for the patients, does not read the patient's history and is rude. I had surgery with him, and not only was it done well, but also the stitches were imperfect.
