Excellent doctor and I received great care from the entire staff, including the nurses, front desk, and the doctor. Listened to me, helped me understand the situation and the care plan, and was there to answer my questions. Now back and home and healthy!

This guy is so full of himself . I will never return to Scripps because of him and the horrible staff at the check in. The nurses were okay, but I have had much better care at Sharp. He was a nightmare and wasted my time with his smart a remarks. He should not be practicing.

Criminally incompetent & should not a Dr. He did as little as he could and never found the cause of my problem. I'm now on heart failure medication thanks to his callous disregard for my life and his failure to even listen to my heart or lungs. No one did! Don't trust his opinion it could be fatal. Idiots like this surfer dude are why the ER don't tell you who the dr. is. They know you'll leave. So now you know. Refuse the CT scan (ultrasound is safe) and stand up for yourself. Dr. Drip-stick certainly doesn't care about anyone but himself and it is reflected in his lack of medical knowledge. He needs to have a female chaperone in the room before he touches a woman. Avoid him, run, go anywhere else.

History of several abdominal surgeries. I had excruciating, intermittent waves of epigastric pain lasting for 12+ hours. He tried to send me home after ONLY doing blood work. Absolutely INCOMPETENT. Luckily for me, my aunt is a highly regarded ER doc. She told me to get a CT. When I suggested this, Dr. Dietch SMIRKED at me and exchanged glances with a nurse. Turns out, I had a small bowel obstruction secondary to a CYST that was taking up nearly my entire abdominal cavity. He COMPLETELY missed this! I am surprised he is allowed to practice medicine because my case was textbook.

Due to an auto accident, bleeding from my stomach area, Dr. Deitch probably saved my life.

I don't like doctors at all and I hate going to the hospital, but I must confess that Dr. Deitch made an unpleasant day and evening a bit more tolerable. He is obviously an excellent medical doctor.

Dr. Deitch treated an elderly family member with care, concern, respect and a high degree of professionalism. His diagnosis of "sundowners syndrome" was very helpful in setting us on a track for treatment. His candor and openness in dealing with us was refreshing and we never had the impression he was talking "at us" rather he was dealing with us as he would one of his loved-ones. Dr. Deitch is a credit to Scripps-La Jolla.

I will say this in as few words as possible. Thank GOD for Dr. Deitch. With possible heart failure looming in my very near future, he thoughtfully, quickly and compassionately SAVED my life. GOD bless you Dr. Deitch.
