I scheduled an appt with Passaro due to migraines, neuropathy, and some other neurological symptoms due to lupus and fibromyalgia. I was referred by my rheumatologist. I waited two hours until my name was called and they sat me in a patient room. I continued to wait 30 additional minutes in a room alone and ended up having to leave before ever seeing Passaro because I had another doctor appt that afternoon. I took time off work for this appt and not only lost income, but weeks later my 8th cranial nerve hemorrhaged causing permanent deafness in my left ear and a vestibular disorder with extreme vertigo. I'll never know if I could have received help that day or not. I am told by other patients and his own staff that he is chronically behind schedule. I don't understand why doctors continue to accept new patients if they don't have time to see them.

Waited 2.5 hours. My "appointment" was for 11:00 a.m. I finally went home at 1:20. Never saw the doctor.

I've been seeing Dr. Passaro for 14 years and have been seizure free since that time. I never feel rushed through my appointments. I'm asked several questions and am able to fully explain my concerns, which allowed me to find the best possible treatment plan. That being said, if punctuality is important, this is not the office for you. Although I don't have wait time issues with his assistants (who have been great to work with, as well), he is always behind schedule.

I. Did had doctor passaro for a short time. Saint josephs hospital sent me to him due to my seizure episodes and he did my medication and I did end up at the ER at bayfront hospital at downtown st Petersburg and also did not help me at all and I did end up at Tampa general. The ER doctor there did stopped three medications and send me upstairs on the 9th floor to stay for a week. Those kind of problems I had most of times everywhere I was or I went for a visit or on a trip. I did had many problems with our doctors and I did end up in most of our hospitals in our area. There I was in most local hospitals with no much help. Most of the times I did had problems with hospitals and doctors. We were in Canada and there I did end up at the hospital in saint agathe des monts away from Montreal because a doctor here did stopped all my medication for 6 months and while we went to a tourist area restaurant in mont treblant I had a very strong seizure attack and the hole table went away and all the costumers left the restaurant without paying the bill and the ambulance took me to the hospital on the next town and give the same medications I had in USA. Similar problem had while we were in England. I had a attack at the mall in Birmingham away from London and end up at the ER which in Europe it is totally free. America has the worst doctors globally as I see it on the medical web sites. Good luck for the young generation that they will face it.

Every staff been very helpful, The only one that that throws me off a little bit is the women who checks in patient and pick up phone calls. Her use of words can be more courteous.

I was referred to Dr. Passaro for my seizures and for the first time I understood what type of seizures I was having and he found the cause for my seizures. He was patient, kind and compassionate. He clearly answered my questions and always is available when I contact him with questions or concerns. He changed my medications such that I am seizure free and have my life back. If you have seizures, Dr. Passaro is definitely the doctor to see.

Very disappointed. Supposed to be the top rated neurologist for seizures and epilepsy and he is always so busy he puts people off to his assistant. My son started having seizures out of nowhere and we were referred to him. It took almost a year to get an MRI because it HAD to be done at Bayfront and their machine was down. One time he was my son and he was texting during the entire appointment, once even leaving the room while he took a phone call. I would make appointments and insist that it be with Dr Passaro and then find out he would be seeing the assistant and have to reschedule. One they called and said his entire week would have to be rescheduled because he had "hospital duty". Now I get a call saying he was "unavailable" but he had a collegue now and she would be seeing his patients. I had to reschedule again. In the meantime I already figure out on my own what was causing his seizures, which was another medication he was taking. I asked his Psychiatrist to take him off of that which he did, and now my son is seizure free. Now I just need to transition him off of the seizure meds to confirm. Dr. Passaro is more interested in other things than his patients. And his office staff is more interested in money than the patients. What else is new?

I canceled my original appoint for personal reason, and was not going to reschedule. 2 weeks later, the staff reached out to. They understood my issues and were sympathetic with why I canceled. In the end they just wanted to help me, I made a follow up appoint. Dr. Passaro went the extra mile in trying to help me.

Dr. Passaro is one of the best physicians I have ever consulted. He took time with me to think about my issue, was thorough in his review, was very sensitive, and he even followed up to be sure I was OK. He saw me immediately, but I would wait for him if necessary because he is that good.

I have a narcolepsy and he was the first doctor to give me the right meds and my life is back to normal for the first time in 10 years. My 3 year old son has seizures and I took him to a ped neuro who misdisgnosed him. I took my son to Passaro for a second opinion and he correctly diagnosed him and now he is being treated properly. I think the office must be really busy because sometimes when I call they don't call me back. I just keep calling. It also seems like there is a long wait every appointment but I can wait because it is worth it to get someone of such high quality to treat such complex conditions that we have.
