I have been a patient at this practice for about 5 years, and I am desperately searching for a new OBGYN, because the last thing I would want is to have to trust these people with a future pregnancy!
I originally became a patient at this practice seeing a different doctor, but in 2013, the practice transferred me to Dr. Amy Huang without any notice. Literally I arrived at my appointment to find that I was seeing a completely different person.
Dr. Huang is kind of unremarkable. She is perfectly cordial, friendly and gets the job done. Like most New York doctors, she is very quick. I can't speak to how she is with patients who are pregnant or trying to get pregnant, but if you are just coming for regular yearly gynecological checkups, you get about 5 minutes with her and then she's out the door to see the next patient.
However, the staff and organization at this place are just awful. Since I began going to this practice, my mail order pharmacy has changed twice. Both times it has been an absolute nightmare to get my birth control prescription changed to the new provider. It usually takes about 4-6 weeks from the date when I run out of medication to the date when they actually send the order through. I end up calling the office 4-5 times over that period, and each time I call the staff, it's nothing but excuses. They don't see a prescription confirmation request, they approved the prescription previously, the mail order pharmacy must have screwed up, they have done everything they are obligated to do, they can't help me, they can't contact the mail order pharmacy directly because it's a waste of their time on the phone, etc. etc. It is like an exercise in how to convince people to switch doctors.
