She was the best doctor I ever had. She was kind, caring, compassionate. She actually listened. It was an incredible loss when she left family medicine. Burnout is real. Doctors need more support.

Dr. Greenaway is the best doctor I have ever had. For those who commented on fame and fortune - you should really look into how much family doctors make in Canada. It is not nearly as high as you think and the hours they put in is incredibly high. I understand how one could think that they make a bunch of money but in Canada doctors have to pay clinic costs, staff costs, insurance, etc. and in the end how much they take home is considerably less than what you see as their "wage". The rate of burn out for doctors is very high.

Dr. Greenaway wanted me in any out in less than 5 minutes while she was late herself. I had three health care matters that were fairly urgent and had to be addressed. I found her less available. I find that she wants me in and out of her "virtual" office than ever before and I have found her becoming more dismissive than every before, My recommendation: find a new family doctor. Bye the way: the staff couldn't care about your health either. Of note, I could have made multiple appointments to address each issues individually, but Dr. Greenaway is always away (on vacation). I would be wary of family docs who are part of a system (e.g., FHO etc) as they are paid for by patients they accept into their practice. They can hire nurses who can scan the investigations/slash blood work and have those patients seen by an MD when they are back from vacation. Being a part of this system allows doctors to work essentially 70-80% of their time and vacation the other times. One FHO doctors told me that he works 60% of the time and hires extra nurses do the work. He may receive a call every 2-3x/week, but the issue can usually be dealt with over the phone. To bad....she was once a good doctor. Now the easy money has corrupted her. To bad for her patients.

I've been a patient of Dr. Greenaway for 14 years, and without a doubt, she is the best doctor I have ever had. She is kind, knowledgeable, patient, has a great sense of humour and a wonderful wit. She is gentle but thorough in her examinations, and her referrals have always been spot on.

I just found out she is leaving family medicine and I am devastated. She will be sorely missed! What an absolutely wonderful doctor. Whomever is gaining her as a consultant is very lucky.

I am so grateful to have Dr. Greenaway as a physician. She is very kind, compassionate, thorough, extremely knowledgeable, and takes any of my concerns seriously. It is rare to find all of these qualities in one physician. She always recommends treatment plans that do the most that she possibly can because she does not want to see you suffering. I have been with her for just over a year now. I had put my name on a waitlist to see her and then ended up getting a different doctor in the mean time (that I wasn't particularly happy with) but kept my name on her waiting list. When she had a spot open I was ambivalent to change physicians, but I am so glad that I did. Her waitlist is long because she is so great, but it is well worth the wait! For some reason the staff were very inconsistent in messaging when I was on the waiting list, but I haven't experienced any other administrative issues since joining as a patient.

Dr. Kate Greenaway is an incredible family doctor. I've been with her for years now and even with moving out of Toronto, will always come downtown to see her. I greatly appreciate her focus on patient-centered care and how she takes the time to explain the latest research. She's also super nice and very family friendly.

Wonderful doctor. Has cared for me for many years and is great with children. Warm, compassionate and very open to discuss difficult and sensitive topics. Best family doctor I've had so far and is great to explain things especially when the medical situation can be overwhelming.
