Awful doctor
Went to him when he was a gynaecologist and asked if I could take Tylenol before a procedure
He said I was hysterical and that it wouldn't hurt that much and walked out! He made me return and have a general anesthetic
Seeing his new career I now understand this was a way for him to bill twice and make more money.
Horrible!

I saw Dr. Bastian after receiving lip fillers elsewhere about a year ago. For some reason they began swelling this summer off and on pretty badly and I was hesitant to see a GP about the problem. The first appointment at nu image with him, he gave me a very knowledgable consult about what was happening and what the possible treatment options are. I ended up receiving a dissolving treatment and began seeing results within hours. I am so thankful to not be dealing with lip swelling anymore! Definitely would recommend seeing this doctor when wanting an expert opinion!!

I’m afraid that I can’t recommend Dr. Bastian at all. Although he’s very charming and reassuring, his skills are considerably lacking. Initially, he managed a very successful lipo on my back - I was very impressed. So we went ahead with the front abdomen. The nurse he hired for the procedure was so inexperienced, she couldn’t get the IV needle in (which was 90% of her job that day). We opted to go without.
Bastian had another patient scheduled after me, so he was rushing. Because the surgical implement could cause burns, the nurse was required to count out each stop. At one point, the whole party got distracted, when I started to feel pain and my heartbeat got irregular. They asked me (in my drugged state) whether I wanted a 2nd dose of drugs. I said yes, thinking I’d get a top-up of one of the sedatives. Instead, I got a complete 2nd dose of everything I’d been prescribed. This meant that I was needlessly overmedicated, and that they sent me home with no follow-up pain killers. I guess this was preferable to the other option they offered me, which was for them to just “hurry up.” They were already in a hurry. After I recovered, I ended up with visible scarring under my skin, which is shaped like the path out of my body, where the drain had been placed. I also healed asymmetrically, with my left side stuck to the tissue beneath it, and my right side lax. Years later, it hasn’t improved.

As well, I had Juvederm treatments done to my face. Again, I was pleased with the first session. On my second treatment, however, I bled and bruised quite badly. Ironically enough, Dr. B had bragged during the session that his patients never bruised. If the result had simply been the bruising, then that would’ve been fine. On this occasion, however, I experienced something known as the “Tyndall Effect,” which leaves a raised bluish bump on the face. This is generally caused by an injection too close to the skin’s surface. Juvederm is stubborn stuff, and years later, the bump remains.
Dr. Bastian is not a Board-certified plastic surgeon, and my faith in him is now non-existent. Frankly, I was left with the suspicion that he drank a little. I strongly recommend that you find someone more reliable.

I had lipo with this so called cosmetic surgeon about 10 years ago. I was do disappointed with the results, I mean I was actually EMBARRASSED to go to more than one follow up appointment. Looking back, I wish I had gone and fought for some of my HARD EARNED money back. Wish I would have looked harder for a real cosmetic surgeon at least!! Don't waste your money, please go somewhere else!!!!!!! Mickey mouse courses in lipo and such doesn't make an obstetrician a plastic surgeon!!!
