Dr. Alland was professional and courteous. She answered all my questions and the exam was very thorough. Overall I was pleased with my experience and would recommend her to anyone. The staff was also friendly and helpful. Everything was timely and when I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was able to see the doctor right away.

This is Dr. A. responding to the above comments..it appears there are a year old...I do appreciate them because we don't see things through other peoples eyes (pun intended). The dust collecting tree is gone. (And yes I clean my instruments for each patient usually while they watch). I am very sorry if my attempt to save the patient over $500 over a year on contacts insulted her. It was not my intention. And since I have returning patients for over 23 years including three generations of families, it could have been an attitude adjustment I needed those particular days and not my entire personality or patient care ability. (Though I do admit I have patients informed of my no cell phone rule as they fill out their paperwork!) Again, I apologize to those patients. The optometrist at the store was pleasant however, I was surprise at how dirty the exam room appeared. I was disgusted at the fabric tree behind the exam chair, it has caked with dust and dirt. I would like to hope that the doctor sanitized the items touching my face but, I have doubts in the back of my mind based on the lack of attention spent on housekeeping. I did purchase glasses because the pricing was very reasonable but I wish my exam experience was better.

I had done research on colored contact lens and found a brand that made one day wearable's in many colors. I was excited to try several colors instead of committing to just one. When the doctor told the lady at the check in counter that I could order lenses I reminded her I wanted to try the freshlook daily color lens and she was very offensive to me. She stating that the cost was too much and and that I could spend as much as two dollars a day towards my lenses, I was better off getting the monthly style and spending my money more wisely. The nerve!!!!! I spend more each day on coffee and that lasts about 10 minutes...two dollars for 10+ hours of contacts seems reasonable to me, I will NEVER refer her to anyone I know in fear she will be as offensive to them as me.

Somewhat short with me as I was finishing a phone call in the waiting area, she was staring at her wrist watch even though I was still a few minutes early for my appointment. When the exam was finished she walked me out and was rude to the staff working there. I don't feel comfortable going back.
