I've been seen him for 18 years. Excellent doctor.

Shadiest doctor I've ever had. Terribly unengaging.

The doctor seemed to have his eyes closed through a lot of our video call, and he didn't seem to want to listen to my wishes. I requested that we wait to finish his evaluation before he prescribe medication, but he prescribed it anyway at the end of the session after telling me he wasn't done with the evaluation. He then told me a long list of side effects including one about weight gain, and then said he would prescribe away any side effects with more drugs. He was particularly interested in talking about a potential side effect where I would always feel hungry and never feel full. I then saw on Eastover's website that he has a special interest in Eating Disorders..... I also saw that he's been with Eastover since 1987. I think we all know what that sort of tenure can lead to, and I was disheartened to experience it.

My first initial meeting with him today I feel hopeful for the the first time in a while! He listened, took notes, and really explained why he thought what he was prescribing would be best

I was put on a combination of medicines from a previous psychiatrist who diagnosed me as bipolar without really even talking to me for more than a couple of minutes. Needless to say the medication cocktail and inappropriate use of antipsychotics nearly killed me. I was at the end of my rope and Dr Wallace listened helped and prescribing medications. Brought me out of a complete spiral. I recommend him highly.

He is a waste of time. Find a real doctor. He will spend 5 minutes with you and write a script.

You CAN switch practitioners in this office, as I did. Dr. Wallace is not competant in my opinion. He was actually watching golf one day when I was trying to tell him my issue.

After reading the reviews on this page I have to wonder what the other reviewers expect out of a psychiatrist, Usually they are diagnosticians and determine if meds are appropriate. They generally don't provide therapy. There are psychologists and therapists at the practice for that. I can't praise Dr. Wallace enough. He has pointed me toward therapy when it was needed and prescribed meds very carefully. His appointment s are typically 15 minutes, save maybe the initial one.
Remember, medication will only work if taken as prescribed.
He gets 5 stars from me! The office staff couldn't be any nicer!
