I never wrote any reviews in my life, but I feel compelled to by my own experience with the Bochner Eye Institute, Toronto location. Under the expert and compassionate leadership of the Medical Director, Dr. Raymond Stein, who treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism, from the initial pre-surgery consultation to the last post-surgery appointment, there is no reason to be afraid of the laser cataract surgery.

Before the surgery, I wore strong prescription glasses. Dr. Stein clearly explained to me all the different types of cataract surgeries available for my situation. The cataract surgery patient brochures also helped me to decide on the Diamond Package Plus without any sales pressure. After this initial meeting, I was calm and waited patiently for the two surgeries.

Two days of surgeries went smoothly thanks to Dr. Stein and his friendly staff. On day three, during the post-surgery appointment, Dr. Stein was pleased with the results.

The floaters and aura in both eyes disappeared within 72 hours. For the first time in over 10 years, I am able to enjoy my life without any glasses. Even two weeks after the surgery I am able to read the small print on medication bottles which feels like a miracle.

I would like to personally thank Dr. Stein and his staff for the excellent care I received. I highly recommend the Bochner Eye Institute.

Dr. Stein is an exceptional human being. He is kind, considerate, compassionate, understanding, always so calm. He takes time to care for his patients. I was a difficult and very nervous patient. Dr. Stein was so kind and took time to explain the procedures in detail. He was extremely honest about the outcomes so I was able to make my decisions. I had some other medical problems which he took full account of and treated me carefully. Thank you Dr. Stein.

I had Refractive Lens Exchange surgery with Dr. Stein. While it took close to a year to get an initial appt, it was worth it. Dr. Stein and his staff are so professional, friendly and efficient. They made the surgery so simple and straightforward, explaining everything along the way. And I now have 20/20 vision and the first time without glasses or contacts in 62 years! I recommend Dr. Stein and the Bochner Eye Institute!

Dr. Stein is the "Wayne Gretzky" of ophalmology. Not only in terms of expertise beyond imagination, but in the way he carefully explained everything with compassion and forethought. Up to the last minute of my RLE surgery, he sat with me and reviewed my decision - only a noble, dedicated and caring individual would hold up the operating room to take this extra, but important time. Eye surgery was my greatest fear and by the day of my surgery, I felt strong, confident and brave, thanks to Dr. Stein. He did cataract surgery on my other eye with the same care and compassion. Had an ICL procedure about a week ago with Dr Stein and while recovery is taking some time due to my high prescription and astigmatism, my experience with him was incredible. Patient, knowledgeable and very experienced after bad experiences at other laser centres. Only person who thanked me for MY time having come in for a consultation even though he is incredibly busy all the time. Available to answer all questions and very compassionate and caring towards his patients! Worth waiting for the surgery to be done by Dr Stein! Highly recommend!!
