After 2 months of being in agony I was sent to Dr Guyot, it was the best thing I could've done. Woke up from surgery and the pain I had been suffering with was completely gone! I cannot praise her high enough...not only Dr Guyot, but her PA, Melissa, is also amazing AND to make this a trifecta, her office staff are absolutely fantastic!! I was showed my MRI results and the procedure that would be performed in detail. I had a concern, after hours, and left a message with her answering service and (Not kidding) Dr Guyot called me back within 5 minutes. I apologized for interrupting her day, and it was Labor Day to boot...and was told that I could call day or night, she did not want me to ever NOT call, she was always available to me. That's amazing in itself. It was a frightening surgery to me, plate had to be put in my neck, but Dr . Lisa and Melissa put me completely at ease. I'm feeling amazing and it's going on 3 weeks! Don't hesitate to trust and believe in them because they make a great team and are fabulous!!

Patient's update
I don't know why it shows I gave the staff 4 stars, they are most definitely a 5 star rating...I wish I could've given them all 100 stars! They, staff, Doctor Guyot, and PA Melissa, are all compassionate and caring! Highly recommended to everyone!

Dr. Guyot has got to be one of the most dishonest and least empathetic people I've ever had the misfortune of meeting. Firstly on the day of my laminectomy every nurse, the anesthesiologist, and even Dr.Guyot warned me of the heartburn from having a tube in my throat...(more on that later) out of the two herniated discs i had Dr.guyot only worked on and removed the most recent injury, refusing to help with a problem that has caused back pain for literal years now... her reason, that if its still bugging me (the way it was for years) after she took the unrelated hunk from another disk she could just do another surgery later (for the $$$$$$).... Dr.guyot also let me know if I needed pain med refill don't hesitate to ask and on top of all of that she was going to prescribe physical therapy... being off work I didn't feel super bad so it took a whole 2 months for me to get through the pain meds and that was a mistake, since I only used them when I needed them and not 3 times a day clearly I NEVER need them. I was also made to look like an idiot when the younger trainee she had come sit in on my follow up started mocking me for thinking that tube would cause heartburn as according to him that's just impossible... and lastly have asked for information on going to a physical therapist a good 4-5 times now and wouldnt you know it, she is always out of office and will get back with me the next day for sure.... but like everything else is a lie in the moment because I never get a call back or hear anything...

Great doctor, very skilled, caring & talented. She performed a ACDF on 3-2-22 . I was in severe pain in my neck / shoulder and down my left arm. Once I woke up in the recovery room I was pain free. , in fact, I have not required any pain meds since I left the hospital. Her whole office is clean and well run. A BIG THANK YOU to the whole team!!!

Had a great experience with the office staff and Drs. My MRI and options were explained in a way I could actually understand. I felt like all my questions were answered and I didn’t feel rushed.

I have seen Dr. Lisa Guyot on multiple occasions and she was so kind, she explained everything and also had a PA Stephanie that was also amazing. I had two different back surgeries with Dr, Guyot and had such wonderful results that I have not had to take pain meds since. She saw me for follow-up after both surgeries and was excellent. Her staff filled out all aperwork I needed for work without any issues. She also took care of my stepdad when he was diagnosed with brain cancer doing his first surgery and recommending some trials that he could get into at Henry Ford Hospital. My results were so good I recommended her to two other friends that had surgery with her and loved her too. I am sorry that so many have given Dr. Guyot bad reviews but I have never seen this side of her. I would highly recommend her.

I saw Dr. Guyot and she acted like she didn't want to be bothered. She left the room to look at my MRI and never came back to answer any of my questions.

First doctor to actually show me my MRI and explain what's going on in detail. Surgery was scheduled quickly and I'm on the mend with a Visiting Nurse being sent by Dr. Guyot. No Doctor ever went the extra mile to be sure I had someone to care for me at home too. My experiences with the hospital and the doctors office were excellent--nothing but nice, kind, and polite from everyone....

Oh where should I start, she did my disc fusion in 2012 and she totally botched it. I have been in pain, can barely walk without a walker, have broken screws and she us refusing to do surgery to fix it. My fusion was done at L5-S1 and have disc bulging/herniations L2-S1 and still refuses to do surgery. Her office staff is down right rude. Doctor refused to let me talk to the office manager. Doctor is trying to put blame on every other doctor involved in my care gor her mistakes. A lawyer has been consulted with and lawsuit should be underway soon. If you want to get out of pain this is the last doctor you should see. Doctor seen me in the hospital when I was admitted for 4 days because of the immense pain. She came into my room did not touch me, looked at me and said PT,quit smoking and bone growth stimulator and walked out of my room. I have been told by 5 doctors I need surgery plus several nurses and floor manager in hospital that I need surgery and yet she still refuses. She knows she screwed up and now will not fix it. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
