Took my son to Dr Strauss when he was an infant for asthma treatment. 31 years later my son is still under his care. We have nothing but good thing to say about Dr Strauss. He is wonderful!

Dr. Strauss is supposed to be a specialist that is capable of discovering complex issues of health. With worsening asthma, instead of appropriate testing, his one answer is Prednisone. He sees all of one's health problems through the filter of prescribing Prednisone. As a specialist his capabilities should lie in special tests that can uncover severe breathing problems. He did none of this for me. I have lost faith in him. I was diagnosed by another doctor with irreversible airway damage. The new doctor said that Strauss should have known to test with a CAT scan--- which is the gold standard for finding Allergic BronchoPulmonary Aspergillosis. If you have worsening asthma, don't wait and be placated by Prednisone. Sadly, I waited for years and incurred further damage. You may have other more severe and harmful conditions going on within. I trusted him only to find that he really let me down on my health.

I could not agree more with the above post. When he doesn't agree with you, he pulls the "you are depressed" card. I have never been depressed. I have however suffered from allergies my whole life along with hives, asthma and sinus infections. If you need help, please seek the help of another professional and save yourself time, money and a lot of frustration.

He is very knowledgeable and seems concerned, but comes off as short and impatient. He has a tendency to interrupt and talk over the patient. I would return to his office, were it not for his staff. The secretaries are rude and fail at their job (i.e. neglecting to record my appointment, because she wanted to go home for the night and putting me on hold mid sentence). The nurse is a brute. She didn't think that I was trying my best on a pulmonary test so I had to repeat it no less than a dozen times. All the while she became increasingly huffy. The office also seemed dingy and outdated. With as much money as they make for charging every patient nearly $350 per visit, you think they could bring their decor and equipment into the 21st century.

I have been treated by Dr. Strauss for almost 30 years for Asthma, he is one the most knowledgeable, kind and professional Dr.'s that I know. He is always willing to do whatever he can to help you especially in emergency situations. I have been so impressed with the level of care provided by him, he now sees my two children for their Asthma care.

Dr. Strauss has treated two of my sons for asthma for over 10 years. He does not have a fuzzy personality, but he is very professional and an excellent doctor. He takes time with his patients and never rushes you out the door. He has helped us in crisis situations and he always makes room in his schedule for an emergency. I would highly recommend him to anyone with asthma.

Horrendous, unkind, mean, rushed (like on speed), just wanted to make money, disrespectful, said unforgiveable things and kinda sicko behavior. If you disagree with him he will turn on you - big time and call you crazy. NO RESPECT FOR PATIENTS. THINKS EVERYTHING IS PSYCHOLOGICAL - even asthma.
