Dr. Burnside has been my 14 year old daughter's doctor for the last 8 years and we have been to her many times. She is always professional and easy to talk to. My daughter had a painful accident several years ago crushing two of her fingers while on a trip and when we returned we had to see Dr. burnside every couple of days to get the bandages changed. Given that one other person commented that she was chewed out for giving antibiotics on her own; I would expect that to raise the ire of any medical professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Burnside to anyone.

Dr. Burnside is truly an amazing pediatrician. She always puts myself and my children at ease and spends a great deal of time answering questions and offering advice. She is calm, sensitive and truly cares about the kids. I have yet to experience a better doctor.

She does not spend much time with us, is always in a hurry to leave the room and is not nice to my daughter. If we ask her for advice and if for some reason we have questions about it, she doesnt like it, and would be kind of furious for asking the questions. Several times we felt she was making wrong conclusions but regardless to what we thought, she would go ahead. Later when it was proven she was wrong, we stopped seeing her.

While I cannot comment on Dr. Burnside's expertise or knowledge of medicine, I will say her treatment of me and my children was unprofessional, rude, and inappropriate. I took my daughter in for a strep test based on the fact that she was running a fever and my son had strep earlier in the week. I told Dr. Burnside that I had already started her on antibiotics due to the fact that we had them from her brother. Instead of simply and politely explaining my mistake, Dr. Burnside was very abrupt and lectured me in front of my three children in a condescending and degrading way. She acted as if she was furious with me and told me that now she HAD to put my daughter on antibiotics and that it was not okay. She then very rudely handed me the prescription and quite literally stormed out of the room without saying anything to my sick child or letting us know if our appointment was over. Regardless of my mistake, she made me feel horrible and treated my family with extreme disrespect.
