I loved Dr. Chin and was sad to see her go! I also love GIMG and have heard great things from other patients. Do not believe these ratings!

I was scared for my first appt. with Dr. Chin after reading these reviews but needed to see a doctor quickly and she was available and on my insurance plan. I had a good first appointment with her - she was more thorough than any PCP I've seen in DC in the five years I've lived here. She ordered a battery of blood tests to see if there was an underlying cause to the presenting problem and gave me a prescription to help me handle the pain until we know what's going on. Overall, it was probably one of my better PCP experiences in years. I haven't had follow-up visits yet or had to call for an urgent issue, so I am weighing this on limited experience, but I don't think I have ever left a doctor's office this satisfied.

Same as others. She's a terrible listener and treats you as if you don't know your own body. One time she insisted I come in because I reported having dry eyes due to another medication and was asking for a referral to my eye doctor. While she eventually wrote up the referral, she insisted that I come in because I may have something that would cause all of my teeth to fall out, and even said that if it were own family member that she would make the same recommendation (her poor family!). She was rude, short with me and just plain weird.

Same as other reviewers. Rude. Poor listening ability. Speaks loud and does not like to be interrupted. Order bloodtest for cholesterol without asking what I had previously eaten.

Dr. Chin is awful. When I visited last summer, she treated me with various medications for symptoms I was having as a result of what she thought were tension headaches. I had an allergic reaction to one of the medications and had to go to the ER. Recently, I saw Dr. Chin for a growth on my face. During a very brief evaluation, she told me I had a sebaceous cyst and told me it needed to be removed by the skin specialist in the practice the following day. When I met with the specialist, she disagreed with Dr. Chin's diagnosis and was not comfortable performing the procedure. Dr. Chin is clueless. She cuts me off when I am speaking, is not thourough in providing explanations and looks at me like I am stupid when I ask her to elaborate, and is mcuh to quick in her judgements and diagnosis. Stay away!

Same as the other reviewer, Dr. Chin cut me off several time and treated each symptom as if they could not be related. I am currently looking for another doctor as I am very dissatisfied with the lack of treatment I received. Save your time and money and do not see this doctor.

While I believe Dr. Chin ordered appropriate labs for the symptoms I was having, she was not at all easy to talk to. She repeatedly cut me off as I was explaining the sx I was having; she treated each sx as a unique problem, instead of likely being related to the same underlying cause (they were); she was rude about the number of sx (she actually said, "Ma'am, you're a new pt. I think we have enough here!")--given that it was one problem causing multiple sx, this was pretty outrageous; finally she denied that the likely problem could be causing the sx! (Even though I'd had the same sx with the same problem previously and my cardiologist had told me that was what was causing the sx.) She did call very promptly with the lab results, which were not normal, but seemed irritated that it took me until the next morning to get back to her. I have requested copies of my results multiple times from the office and have not been able to get them.
