Dr. Hyson is also an interventional radiologist. After being told that a steroid shot for the cervical neck area problem needed to be done in a setting when pain medicine could be given and monitoring would be necessary, I decided great but not for me. The procedure was done by Dr. Hyson, at Waterbury Hospital, with a minimal amount of novacaine used to dull the area. He patiently explained the procedure first and then each step as the procedure was being carried out. 20 minutes later I called for a ride and went home. I'd give him an A+ for patience, knowledge and caring. You cannot help but feel relaxed because he is so knowledgable.
