I saw Dr. O'Hara in late 2016 to mid 2017 with my first pregnancy. He was kind, easy to talk to, and although he had a laid back personality, he was knowledgeable. I had preeclampsia with my daughter and I felt reassured by Dr. O when his laid back personality became serious enough when he questioned one of his medical staff on something that should have been done. Although he didn't deliver my baby, the ongoing care he provided me during my pregnancy was fantastic. The only down side is, he is always busy that he runs a bit late on office visits.

Please if you're pregnant, DO NOT ask him to be your doctor. I am a doula and was supporting a couple in labor. He was not only rude to me but to the couple as well, so much so that they asked that he NOT delivery their baby. Very condescending and offensive when he spoke to us. The mama was in active labor and was so offended by his verbal vomit and the doubt he instilled in her ability that her contractions stalled. It was terrible. Why is he even allowed to practice women's health care? Please seek care from any other provider but him.

Dr. O'Hara cares about making money and making things as convenient for himself as possible, even if it means that it negatively affects you. If you're looking for a physician like that, go ahead and schedule an appointment with him.

I went to see Dr O'hara seeking a new OB because of my horrible experience during child birth, which left my son in the NICU for 54 days and he came home with a feeding tube. I have PTSD from birth and when I told this doctor my story he said " oh that doesnt sound that bad." He made me belittled and I walked out of his office in tears because he was not compassionate at all. I also asked him advice on pumping breastmilk because I was having some pain and he said "you already pumped for 5 months, thats enough, just go on formula. My kids were on formula and they went to UC Berkley" He was not caring at all and he is not a good listener. I went to him because he had good reviews but I will never go back to him.

In 1989,I was one of Dr O'Hara's first patient when he had just moved to San Diego. He is the best OB/Gyn I ever had. He treated me for infertility(didn't work. Then he diagnosed my severe endomeitriosis, and referred me to another dr who diagnosed Graves Disease. My health continued to deteriorated diagnosed with Fibromyalgia which he said it was wrong.Long story short, I have Lupus, Rhumatoid arthritis, had Crohn's but in remission. also now have severe stenosis, deteriorative disc disease, etc etc. Dr O'Hara never judged my horrible pain and need for medication. I don't care what anyone else thinks you have no idea how bad Gyns used to be and how judgement all. not only here. But in Michigan too. Leslie Morton

He's an amazing OB doctor! He was my doctor for both of my children and I couldn't be happier with my experience and his knowledge.

I have seen Dr. O'hara for both of my children and also for a surrogacy pregnancy. He is very knowledgeable but I felt like he was unprofessional last pregnancy (surrogacy) when he asked me how much they were paying me. He also didnt want to let me go on disability at 35 weeks, it was just 1 week! Im planning baby #3 and will not be seeing him.

Knows what he's doing. I had a long labor... there was another doctor there who wanted to give me a c-sec. but o'hara said he could deliver my baby and he DID! Funny, and caring. The best!

Dr. O'Hara has been my OBGYN for years now. I have recommended him to family and friends. He takes the time to listen to you. He never rushes through your appointment. Explains everything in detail. Whenever I have had any issues arise I have called his office and he calls back that same day. His nurse and tech are the best. He is a great OBGYN.
