I am fairly young but had a traumatic fall at home and broke my ankle in 3 places and needed emergency surgery to put it together again (the worst ankle fracture you can have). I was on call in patient waiting for surgery for days. Dr. Wood came after hours to do my surgery. Grateful for finally getting the surgery and on my road to recovery. I still have a long way to go but so far all my visits (3 ) in fracture clinic have had quick wait times. He looks in to check on me even when I was just in for a cast change. He clearly explained how serious the injury is and offered long term treatment plan to get me back to being active again. (gym and sports).

Horribly unprofessional! He obviously does not care about patients. Went in for aboslutely no reason as he had no knowledge on my CT scan and had to wait 3 hours for nothing. He should have phoned or e-mailed to tell me this instead of wasting my time (which is money - as I had to take hours off my work shift to wait around) Complete incompetence and was very dismissive when I was talking to him

Dr. Wood wasn't unpleasant, but was a bit rushed and not very informative for my daughter's 1st 2 visits. On the 3rd however, he almost seemed like a different person. He explained things, took the time to answer all our questions and we felt reassured that we were in good hands. His receptionist, Joy, is extremely pleasant to deal with, and always tries to help and accomodate requests. And yes, she answers the phone! :)
One does have to usually wait a bit though.

I saw Dr. Wood in July 2019. First of all when you call the office, someone answers! He was the 3rd doctor I saw and the ONLY one to diagnose and set up a treatment plan. He was kind, patient and knowledgeable. His receptionist, Joy is very friendly, pleasant and helpful as well. I would have had to wait until October to see another specialist but waited a few weeks to see him. I have frozen shoulder and I am awaiting a cortisone shot. I hope this treatment helps as I have been dealing with this for 9 months now. Thank you to Dr. Wood and Joy!!!!

Dr. Wood saw me for a "frozen shoulder". He was very thorough and extremely helpful. He was honest when he advised me that a frozen shoulder takes a long time to heal and can be very painful. Not once did I ever have to wait a long time to see him, nor did I ever have a problem getting an appointment.

Dr. Wood replaced my wonky knee in Oct. 2016. His advice to prepare for surgery by losing 20 lbs, and exercising prepared me well for the post-op recovery and rehabilitation. The whole process was easy (though not without pain!), and I returned to work part time around rehab sessions within two weeks. (I have a sitting job). I found Dr. Wood to be clear about the procedure, the pre and post-op care and expectations along the way. I also find his assistant, Joy to be true to her name. Currently I am beginning to have some issues with my other knee. I am experiencing constant pain, not severe but constant. Dr. Wood is prescribing pain medication, and I see him about every 3-6 months. I trust his assessment as to if and when there will be cause for a replacement. When I ask questions, he has always taken the time to explain, despite his busy office hours. I have no hesitation in the high rating I give. Renate.

It has been 11 months since my total knee replacement and just as predicted by this wonderful doctor, I am pain free and walking far better than I have in over 3 years. Dr. Wood is one of the most kind, knowledgeable and caring physicians I have ever had. Despite the pain involved in the entire process I am so happy I traveled across the city to see him and have him do my surgery. His guidance pre-surgery encouraging me to get my body ready was instrumental for my quick recovery. The icing on the cake - having his assistant Joy there providing her own brand of encouragement - always with a smile on her face and a pleasant word.
Thank you Dr. Wood for a job superbly done (I am very proud to show my scar to anyone who asks-lol)

I have seen Dr. Wood at the hospital and although I am not the best patient, Dr. Wood has been the most respectful and compassionate doctor I have ever encountered. I had two injuries one and after the other and at no point did he make me feel stupid or less than for being a clutz. I admire this doctor greatly.

I have been Dr. Wood's Patient for about 5 years. Dr. Wood has looked after me when, unfortunately for him, he was on a staycation and he came in through his vacation to look after me. I am now going to copy what someone else said as I am having the exact same experience:

I have difficult condition to treat, but Dr. Wood never gives up on trying to see what will be in my best interest and best option for me, to live the best QUALITY OF LIFE possible! I TOTALLY RECOMMEND DR. WOOD. HE IS THE BEST DOCTOR WHEN IT COMES TO DOING WHAT IS BEST FOR HIS PATIENTS!!!! He's Awesome!

And re: Punctuality, he is way better than most!

Thank you so much, Michael:)
