She's OK if u play her right. She seems like an uptight miscreant but I always get my way with her. She likes to give you the third degree and she is very suspicious of your reasons for needing a doctor's note or some abusable drug. So she interrogates you. But if u just stand your ground and gently but firmly insist on some service or prescription, she gives it up pretty easily.

One of the worst doctors I've ever seen. She quickly dismissed my concerns and the advise given to me by previous doctors. I had maybe 3 minutes of time with her before she said "oh you're fine" and walked out. I ended up having a miscarriage the next day.

This is definitely the worst physician I've ever had.
I went to the Country Hills location to be tested for an UTI. The front desk staff were really pleasant and kind, so I figured the whole experience would follow the same rhythm. When she entered the room she immediately started belittling me and questioning my knowledge of what I was in for. I knew my symptoms were still quite mild (I guess unless I'm profusely peeing blood my worries are invalid) but since I will not only be leaving the country within a few days, I also have one kidney; so I wanted to nip it in the butt if I needed to. She made me feel like a total idiot, and made me feel like I just wasted three years of her life with my problem. She works at a clinic. Big or small I would like to think it's fair to treat every individual and their problem with some kind of interest and patience. It makes me feel both better and worse that I'm not the only person who's had this appalling experience. She did end up prescribing me some antibacterials, but told me to fill them if I felt like "treating myself".
Looks like I'll be treating myself with some medication tomorrow morning. Thank goodness she's blessed me with the opportunity.

She does not care about the people that go to see her. if your injuries are not serious, she will belittle you and treat you like you are wasting her time even though it is just a walk in clinic. She also made me pay for an incomplete doctors note that i now have to go and get re done as i cannot work my job with the pain in my foot. she seems to think i am able to work despite what i told her. she barely even touched the foot. she could have got me fired if i didnt notice.

I recently saw Dr. Ficek for a very painful lump in my armpit that was the size of a golf ball. I was already taking antibiotics for the lump but it was not going away so I was looking for a second opinion. She barely looked at it and proceeded to tell me that she "suspected I wasn't in that much pain". Based on that remark alone I will never go back to this clinic.

I attended as a walkin client for more than 10 years at the Crowfoot Medicentre. Dr. F became my primary physician. After all those years this so called doctor expressed her wishes to not ever see me again as a patient...although I asked why? Absolutely no reason was given. At that time I was seeking help for severe depression, shortness of breath and debilitating anxiety attacks and upsetting boughts of chest pain...to which she had previously prescribed a placibo which was discovered due to a pharmacists candor....obviously her final treatment was no remedy just ignorance and rejection. I attended another physician and was diagnosed with Stage 11 Enphasema...I feel a great degree of anger respecting her ethic. I could not in good conscience recommend this physician.

I am completely shocked with these reviews. I went to see her with pain in my ribs, she was very thorough, she read through my chart, assessed me, asked me lots of questions etc. She send me for blood work, untrasound, put me of a med to help. I left very happy and impressed. What you guys descibed, although I believe you all, I did not have this experience. Thank you Dr Ficek.

Good doctor overall. I think she cares about you but maybe some patients do not see that?

Dr. Ficek poorly diagnosed my mom, resulting in her skin breaking out in boils. If given proper treatment at the time, the boils would have been under control. Now they are all over her body. My mother had to go see another doctor for a second opinion and of course he diagnosed it as something far more serious then Dr. Ficek had. Dr. Ficek stands by the door waiting to leave, you have to keep asking her questions just to keep her in the room. She is about one thing and that is money. All she cares about is how many people she can bill, and not about the quality of service she gives them. This is truly a horrible doctor that should lose her medical licence.

I thought I had seen the worst doctor in Albert in Red Deer...I was wrong, she is right here in Calgary. She is extremely rude and condesending. When I told her that I had excruciating pain on my side she told me out right that I did not! She told me I would just have to live with it and take Tylenol for the rest of my life, not even interested in finding out what the hell is wrong. What an outright joke. It is so hard to believe that people like this can function in this world with an attitude like a viper let alone be in charge of peoples health.
