Avoid Dr. Haas at all costs.

I saw him for a few years for maintenance meds to prevent bipolar episodes. He got me hooked on Zolpidem (Ambien) for several years; it’s only supposed to be prescribed for short periods. He completely dismissed my extreme symptoms from tapering Olanzapine, saying he had never heard of adverse reactions, when reports of these are all over the Internet. All he ever asked me at my peremptory visits was about my job search and whether I was exercising.

The clincher: after ending treatment, discovered from looking at the claims history on my insurer’s website that he had billed my insurer multiple times for visits I never had and services never provided. I never saw him more than once every two months (he kept urging me to see him monthly, even though no psychiatrist I’d ever seen required more than quarterly visits). He billed for visits several times a week, multiple times a month, 45-minute psychotherapy sessions that never happened, and multiple psychological tests. ALL LIES. In all, for 2021, he billed the insurance company well over $20,000, when in fact I had seen him that year for 6 10-15 minute visits. The insurance company showed my responsibility to him to be over $4,0000, when in fact I only owed, and paid, $100 a visit for six visits. Needless to say, the man is now under investigation for fraud.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN AT ALL COSTS — while he is still licensed.

I went for my first visit last Friday. He was horrible, actually gave me more anxiety. Kept interrupting me, put me down throughout the session. I'm looking for another doctor ASAP, don't go to him. He's a Masagonistic asshole!!!!

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS DR! All the reviews are accurate, and I wish I had read them before seeing someone who literally made me more depressed and anxious than I already am. His solution to my severe flashbacks and panic attacks due to finding my son dead from suicide 2 months ago was basically “use healthy coping skills”. He refused to look at me when I talked, interrupted me constantly, and made me feel like my mental health struggles were annoying to him. He continually told me that I was being illogical, and acts like he doesn’t understand mental health at all.

I was there for suboxone treatment & should have done more research. He almost killed my husband by not prescribing it correctly. I was there for one of the appointments by myself & all he wanted to talk about was what my orgasms were like. I don’t understand how this man still has his license??? He was always looking at his stocks & doing day trading on the computer during our appointments. Charged us ridiculous out of pocket amount for each appointment & took advantage of the fact that we needed him for the suboxone but never tried to deal with any of the mental issues that go along with addiction. I am happy to say that I have been sober for years but certainly not due to him!!!!

If you are in search of an aggressive, callous Stewart-Smalley-looking guy to ask you questions only to interrupt you and answer them himself, or to get increasingly invalidating until you cry, so that he can insinuate you have a mood disorder and insist you have depression, even after you mentioned you had a death in your family one day prior, then he's your guy. I am really sad to read the comments; I totally believe them. He also has a weird and inaccurate urine screen, that he will pick up with his bare hands, and use to insinuate you are a liar. (Though he lacked any sense of humor, the jokes on him there, because everyone gets pee on those). If you offer to take a polygraph he will say "he doesn't have time", instead of "polygraphs are inaccurate pseudoscience, much like my urine screen." ...which would've been the better response. He seems a little behind the research. I hope this guy does what we've done and gets the courage to go seek help. I really am sad to read the comments.

I had an initial visit for $350 and a second for $250, both were out of pocket due to no insurance. I was seeking medication for adult ADHD. No script after first visit. Second visit suggested Wellbutrin, which I will never take again due to a severe reaction years ago. He was rude and condescending. He talked over me. I’m a maters level behavior clinician and there was only one unstable person in that room and it wasn’t me. I questioned twice, “so you are not going to treat my ADHD”? I gathered my belongings and left. What a waste of time and money. Thank goodness I was only needed assistance with attention issues. I can’t imagine the impact his behavior could have on a vulnerable individual seeking assistance for serious mental health concerns. I wish I would have read these reviews earlier.

This the 3rd time I've tried to leave a comment. This guy is a terrible, vindictive, sexually charged narcissist and needs to be stopped. Leave a message of some sort to get together to get a lawyer to seriously represent us all

Attention female patients : DO NOT see this doctor. He is rude and condescending, a true narcissist. He told me after a few sessions that he was distracted by something. He proceeded to tell me he was sexually attracted to me and asked me if I'd like to pursue a relationship outside of therapy. Talk about making my anxiety worse! He is disgusting. He was married with children at this time, not sure about now. But I have had PTSD from seeing him. He should have had his license revoked years ago.
