When he was my doctor, he was very attentive and caring. I'm sad that he is no longer practicing.

I've heard he can be abrupt, but was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable I felt. He took my issues seriously and I didn't feel rushed out like I've felt in other Doctor's offices before. The woman at the front desk was very nice too.

I saw him due to an eye emergency. The first words he said to me was that he would not have taken me on as patient due to my having had laser eye surgery, but it was an emergency. What a great way to put your patient at ease - NOT. He spent most of my appointment railing against laser eye surgery and how hard it makes his job while he was doing my eye exam. He told me I had a Vitreous Detachment and proceeded to give me all the wrong information on how to deal with it. I told him we were heading to the US as we were on vacation and he totally freaked because it would be so expensive to have any medical care if I had another emergency.
This guy is so out of touch with modern medicine it isn't funny. Because of his "professional advice" - which turned out to be incorrect, I had to make unnecessary alterations to our holiday.
Utterly disappointed and angry with him.

Have always found my time there excellent and have always received 1st time solutions to my eye problems. highly recommend him.

Great experience with this doctor, wasn't sure what to expect based on some of these reviews (I wonder if people expect to have their hand held the whole time?)

This man should no longer be practicing medicine. I would not believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL. He was good on some levels, but unwilling to try more sophisticated treatments. I saw him when I was teen until my early 20s (I`m now 30). He sent me to a specialist in Toronto who recommended a new treatment, but when I got back to TBay, Dr. Czarnecki refused the treatment. I didn't know about the severity this until it was too late. I trusted his decision. A few years later, I moved to a big city and started on this treatment. The sad story is that the damage to my eye was already permanent. If I had started this treatment when I was younger, I may not have lost some of my eyesight. I`m now permanently visually impaired. ASK QUESTIONS. DO YOU OWN RESEARCH. ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF!

very knowledgeable doctor. does not put up with bullsh*t from patients which is good when it comes to health. he tells it how it is even if you do not want to hear it. a good quality doctor who will help you and make you feel as comfortable as possible while explaining every detail of any health issue asked of him
