Dr. Verstraete was my PPC for over 10 years. I visited him every 3 months as he prescribed me Adderall and testosterone. NEVER was my wait in the waiting room less than 40 minutes and oftentimes over 2 hours. Once I did get in to see him,he was a very friendly and charismatic guy. He never hesitated to reach for his scrip book even when I didn't ask for medication. He was my wife's doc also and when my wife continuously call his staff to complain about a stomach ailment,she was told either to eat probiotics or that they would log her complaint in her file. I eventually took her to the emergency room where the surgeon told me that she had a severe stomach infection and was close to death. Indeed,she spent 3 1/2 months in the hospital,never recovered completely and returned to the hospital 2 years later,spending 11 months there before she passed away.
Concerning making appointments with the Doctor,I would call on the phone and usually nobody would answer the phone after 20 rings. They didn't utilize an answering machine or answering service.

Exceptionally unkempt office staff actually SMOKING in front the front door of the medical office! A hired groundskeeper coming and going through the office waiting area WITH a filthy weed eater - then leaving it IN THE FRONT OFFICE RECEPTION area! Appalling. Waited over an hour and gave up - never saw the doctor. His staff needs some education.

I would recommend Dr. Verstraete to anyone looking general practitioner or infectious disease specialist. He and his staff go the extra mile to make me feel at home, like part of a family. It takes away that dread of going to see a doctor.

This doctor knows his stuff and is by far one of the nicest doctors I've ever met. The wait was a bit long, but the waiting area is comfortable with coffee, TV, and plenty of magazines. He's so booked that getting an appointment to see him could take a couple weeks but that's what I'd expect to see from a good doctor's practice.

Great experience with this doctor. I had a bad experience with my previous doctor but this doctor made excellent decisions in my treatments. The fact he is so busy indicates how well liked he is as a physician. He sometimes has medical interns and students working with him which also points to his vast knowledge of medicine. The students may cause some delays in the workflow of the clinic but they often make the appointment more pleasant and comfortable. I am very happy to have him as my physician.

Horrible experience. Dr told me 4 Months ago I need to have a skin biopsy and they STILL haven't scheduled it! Went in for my maintenance medication appt today - and the very idiot who scheduled my appt told me I didn't have one! I took time off from a new job for this appt!! This doctor's lack of care for his practice and patients combined with his incompetent staff is threatening both my health and my job!! What IS this guy's problem???
