We love Dr. Nechyba and the other doctors at Carolina Kids. We have three small children and always feel they are in good hands with him. He is patient, kind, listens to your concerns and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend him!

I have had great experiences with this practice and Dr. Nechyba in particular. He is kind, caring, compassionate, as well as immensely knowledgeable and professional. I completely trust his judgement to care for my children. In fact, when my 3 year old came home with a "bad cold" that he passed to his 6 week old brother, Dr, Nechyba realized the "bad cold" was actually RSV. My 3 year old was just fine, my my baby started to have trouble. Dr. Nechyba allowed me to come to his practice on his lunch hour to help with my son, and we ended up admitting him. I drive over 30 minutes to go to this practice despite having dozens of others between my house and their office.

Dr. Nechyba has followed my son since birth and has been nothing short of incredible. Dr. Nechyba has always taken the time to really get to know what goes on with his patients rather than simply pass out medication. On our first visit (this was 10 years ago), I was overwhelmed and worried as a new mom. I was having trouble breastfeeding and Dr. Nechyba was VERY supportive and encouraging. He gave us his pager number in case of emergencies (which I still have but never use). His bedside manner with both children and adults is refreshing and we never feel rushed out the door. He really takes the time to listen to concerns and also speak directly with kids. He's the best!

Dr. Nechyba is exactly what I think a good pediatrician should be. He is clearly intelligent and knowledgeable. He talks directly to my son, cracking corny jokes and asking him how things are going. When I have questions, he does not make me feel rushed or silly, and his answers are well-thought-out and easy to understand. I have interacted with his partners for some non-routine visits and was pleased with them too. I strongly recommend Dr. Nechyba to friends, family, and new neighbors, and all have been pleased. We are lucky to have him in Raleigh!

Dr. Nechyba has seen all 3 of my children during sick visits. He is always very caring and truly has my kids best interest on his mind. He discusses options and plans as well as reasons for decisions being made.

Dr. Nechyba was friendly for about 1 minute, until he learned that I had chosen an alternative vaccination schedule for my 3 yr old son; and I had chosen not to get him every shot. His demeanor immediately became hostile. I am open minded and amenable to a rational dialogue, where we both share our thoughts. This was not the case with Dr. N. He spent the entire visit making me feel like the worst parent on Earth. His face was literally red as he chastised me for putting my son and all other kids in danger. He did not listen to me at all. My opinions and concerns were dismissed before I finished a sentence. He made it clear that he could not continue to see my son if he did not get each and every shot (although I had already decided never to return). He basically strong-armed me into getting 1 shot; and days later my son's arm swelled, became purple and hot and he was in pain. I would NOT recommend this doc to anyone desirous of being heard or sharing opinions about health care.

Dr. Nechyba is the greatest! My daughter is 2 years old and has asthma. I had a hard time coping with a newborn who has asthma. Dr. Nechyba was very knowledgeable and accessible. He also would call and check on my daughter if we had a sick visit and did not get to see him. He really cares about his little patients. We LOVE him!!!!!

Dr. Nechyba is the BEST!!! My son had a lot of health problems which would require heart surgery at a very young age. He always had time to explain and help me to understand what our goals were. We spend extensive time at UNC. He called me daily for updates, he required the doctors fax daily updates. I found he was very well known at UNC among the staff. His staff is wonderful, very friendly and understanding. There really is no better Pediatric doctor in the area in my opinion. His relationship with his own kids, seems to come across to patients and parents. Very intelligent doctor. I wish he could be my very own doctor.

Dr. Nechyba is the most patient and caring physicican that I have encountered. My 4 year old son has had a variety of health problems and his sense of what's going on and treatment plan always seem right. He allows ample time during wellness visits for dialogue and questioning so check-ups never seem rushed or just a formality. His best trait is his committment to care...there have been many occassions where we have received follow-up calls after sick visits, greatly putting our mind at ease. He usually returns nurse question calls himself to ensure that we are all on the same page. Simply put, he is a terrific pediatrician and physician in general.
