Dr. Burns seemed to believe I wasn't being truthful. I don't know why anyone would make things up and see a urologist. I received no help. She gave me ten minutes of her time. That cost me $287. I moved on to dr. Degroot who I call dr. Wonderful. He gave me the help I needed. I highly recommend dr. Degroot.

Dr Burns is one of THE best urologists out there. She is very intelligent and will give you your options to the point-she does not beat around the bush. Wouldn't you want a doctor sure of the way they want to treat your condition? When I found out I had bladder cancer she told me what I had, how to treat it, and how to stop it from coming back. I wouldn't trust anyone else! She is GREAT! And trust me, I see her enough for cancer preventative follow ups. As for her staff-her current nurse has been with her since I have started seeing Dr Burns-at least 5 years...that is quite a long time for unhappy staff to put up with a bad boss. I would recommend Dr Burns. She is very knowledgeable and will treat your condition right!

OUTSTANDING! Our contact with Dr Burns occurred awhile back when our aged mother was diagnosed with a serious illness. We can't say enough for Dr Burns -- professional, patient (Mother is not an easy patient!), understanding, hard-working, caring. With Dr Burns' help and guidance, Mother made a speedy recovery and has been in excellent health ever since. Our highest recommendation to Dr Burns, with special cudos for her going the extra mile in diagnosing the illness and outling an excellent recovery plan, as well as going the extra mile with hospital care, follow-up visits, etc. We wish other doctors and health professionals would learn these qualities from Dr Burns!

I urge you not to see Dr. Burns. Knowing she is one of few urologists in the Green Bay area she takes advantage of ill patients by having a "take or leave it" attitude. If you are fortunate to see another Dr or are able to travel outside the Green Bay area to see a urologist, I highly recommend it! I had a horrible--just awful experience and one of the nurses said, "I respect you for not getting the treatment from Dr Burns." (Even the staff can't bear to work with her? What a shame!!) Please do not take your loved ones to this 100% unprofessional Dr. You'll be so glad you went elsewhere. I'm getting ready to send a letter of complaint to the Chief Executive Officer of the hospital. Good luck!

I have been treated three times by Dr. Burns in the hospital for kidney stones and she has performed a lithotripsy on me. She is extremely knowledgable and does a very good job in her field of Urology and I feel very confident in her care. I feel she is rather brusk in her mannerisms and I felt that she was too brief and clipped in her explanations. I felt zero warmth from her and I did not feel that I got a full enough understanding about my condition. She seemed very matter-of-fact about nausea and pain and I did not feel that she was relating to my concerns except in a strictly intellectual way. Dr. Burns is a superb doctor technically but I feel she has work to do to improve bedside manner and patient relations. This being said, I will always choose her for my Urology care because her skill and knowledge far outweigh anything that might be lacking in people skills.
