He's often over booked and you have to sit there for over an hour past your scheduled time visit and then you get seen for a couple of minutes. Regarding messages: Years ago it would take at the most five hour to hear back from him after you leave a non emergency message. Now it could take up to days or weeks to hear from him. His staff is very unprofessional. Both of the speak loud and talk and joke about patients. Especially, right after they get off of a phone call. I was there one day and could tell they were talking about a friend of mine. When I got home I called my friend and asked if he called the office at a certain time. I was right. It was him. Of course I didn't say anything to my friend due to his psychiatric problems that he has which are not his fault. It mostly the male who starts the gossip. The girl mainly listens or keeps it a a low level.

I've been going to Dr. Chavez for over 10 years, and he has consistently provided fantastic medical care with a warm and compassionate disposition. He has diagnosed illnesses that specialists eventually came around to diagnosing after many tests. He makes himself available for emergencies when you are on vacation or during off-hour times. His staff will try and fit you in during emergencies. He explains your condition treatment clearly and concisely. His recommendations for Specialists have been fantastic, providing just the right fit for my specific needs. Yes, there is sometimes a wait (especially when you just call and come in during emergencies), but you have to expect that. How can he possibly be "punctual" when he gives everyone excellent care? It's a wait I'm willing to take for excellent care. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Chavez :)

Dr. Chavez listens, cares and goes out of his way to make himself available to patients. First time in 20 years that I have found a doctor that I trust and like!
