When my wife and I moved back to NYS in 2014, we received a recommendation of Dr. Sgambati from our neighbor. Since coming to his practice, we have both received outstanding care. We understand that it sometimes takes him a day to get back to us if we call the office, but from my perspective, that means that he is treating other people who are visiting his office. He has always been extremely punctual for our appointments, takes time to listen to our symptoms, complete his examination and explain his diagnosis. If we call and say it is an emergency, either he or his staff gets back to us very quickly. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a caring and knowing physician.

I just changed doctors to Dr. Sgambati after being with my previous foctor for over 20+ years. He actually listens to what you have to say. Does not rush you thru your appointment. Takes the time to explain why things are being done. Im glad I changed to Carl and I highly recommend him.

I switched teenaged sons to Sgambati summer 2012. During first visit Sgambati seemed caring. Within weeks following, I called 3x for a prescription refill. Month later I called office for therapist recommendation. Reported son having severe anxiety/depression. Staff worker told me to look at insurance info. and I should be able to find one who takes my insurance. I explained urgent situation. Told me she'd ask/call back. Never did. Had to find one immediately on my own (should have left practice then!). 3rd time-Son went for rash. Sgambati told him to stop using bath wash. 4th visit- took time off work to go with son (18). Needed to hear a diagnosis regarding rash. We waited over 40 minutes. Inquired how much longer? Told at least another half hour. Demanded to see him. He came in saying, "I'm not a teacher, I can't punch in and out of a time clock"! We told him we thought rash was Fungus. He concurred. He couldn't give us the time to make correct diagnosis. RUDE!

What happened to Dr. Sgambatis practice????? It is almost impossible to get an appointment unless you wait a few months. The staff is rude and judging. Is the DR. aware of whats going on?????

I saw Mr. Sgambatti several times as a primary. I have a pinched nerve and arthritis in my neck and shoulder and complained to him because I can't sleep. I wake up in screaming pain every night and can't get back to sleep. Any doctor will tell you that lack of sleep is one of the most unhealthy things you can deal with in life. I asked for painkillers. NO! I asked for sleep aids. NO! I went to p/t,only made it hurt worse. I went to pain mgt and asked for the same .NO! and NO! Instead, they give me a drug that causes suicidal thoughts.Great. These people are looking out for themselves PERIOD! I have no history of abusing pain meds.infact I hadn't seen a doctor ever before MR.Sgambatti. YES,MISTER, because he's a businessman not a doctor. So having gotten tired of me complaining, he dismissed me and slandered my name saying we had a "non-theraputic" relationship. Code for "Drug Seeker"!Now I can't find a primary to accept me. Can anyone help me? I've had MRIs etc proving it's legit pain

Very knowledgeable, very punctual, very thorough. He is very nice, excellent bedside manner, and willing to explain or answer every question you have. I never feel as though my concerns are being dismissed or that my questions are "beneath" him. I would highly recommend him. Although he has now moved from Mechanicville to Wilton, I will transfer there to continue under his care.

Diagnosed my symptoms correctly, set me up for testing, treated my like he would have, if I was a family member, and made sure all x-rays, mri's, & blood tests that should be run, were done. Even called me at home to see how I was doing. He was very thorough and my scheduled appointments were always on time. All testing concluded that what he diagnosed was accurate. He is very professional and very knowledgeable.
