Rude and doesn't listen well. Staff is poor and rude also and lies or doesn't do their job well. Great practitioner is all that place has going for them. Do not know why I ever went back to Kumar. Didn't like him the first time and like him less now. Wanted to put me on 300 mg lithium after I told him it didn't agree with me before. I shouldn't be forced to take something I took before that made me like a zombie.I really honestly think he does not care and is more about putting that green stuff in his pockets. Could say more and worse but I will leave it like this. Would not recommend. He doesn't care and I don't think knows as much as he thinks he does.

I am going to Tennessee Valley Life center for past 10 years. I have tried many Psychiatrist and many anti- psych medicines . But after seeing Dr.kumar, his medication management saved my life . Many patients who come here have similar stories and are satisfied by the service they get here. I never had problem in getting emergency appointment. Staff also have very pleasing manners

I have had one or two incidents here but nothing major. I think the Drs. here are great. They are helpful, you just may need to stand your ground. The front office staff is great when I come in the evenings with my kids. No doctor has pushed anything on me without me recommending the change.

My son was referred to Dr. Kumar after a hospital stay following a manic episode. He literally saw him for five minutes, after a forty minute wait, and was turned over to the NP who was cold and unsympathetic. This guy appears to be just a professional pill pusher and we would not recommend him to anyone. My son has already arranged for a new psychiatrist for his follow up visit.

Worst Psychiatrist ever! He was quick to inform that he doesn't administer counseling. How do you get a proper diagnosis without getting to the bottom of the condition? I agree with other reviews, he is only in the field to push pills and make money. When I questioned him on how he comes up with a diagnosis, he was quick to say I should seek another Doctor. He only spent 20 minutes with me. When I left, he had six people waiting to get back. How can you be 15 minutes late calling patients back, then spend only 20 minutes with them and have the waiting room full. He must not give any of his patients the full hour they pay for. Don't waste your time with this pathetic Doctor.

Today was my first visit as a new patient. I will begin with the staff....one girl was friendly and helpful enough, while the other one would not even look up and acknowledge me at all(even after I ever-so-happily said "hello!" She didn't seem preoccupied,as she talked to the other receptionist while I was turning my paper work in. Not in the least bit friendly! Moving on to Dr Kumar...I have nothing but praise for this Dr! He was ultra-professional,all the while calling his own patient's back and doing his own workups! (Not too common nowadays) He functioned with ease and was super on his time control. He asked numerous questions before prescribing anything, and jotted down notes the whole time we were talking.I was in and out of his office, filling out all of the paperwork, paying the receptionist, and seeing the Dr in approximately 40 minutes!!! (as a NEW patient anywhere, that's almost unheard of,especially when the Dr has done an extremely thorough job!) He is not the friendliest Dr I've ever had,but he gets the job done, professionally and efficiently and I have to appreciate that:) I will be continuing to receive my care from Dr Kumar and would highly recommend him to anyone!
